With the 157th pick, the Bucs select QB Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville.

“Tyler Shough is a smooth operator under center whose seven years of experience in college showcases one of the more mature prospects in the class."

Strengths:

  • Easy velocity
  • Minimal wasted movement in throwing motion
  • Varying arm angles
  • Underrated mobility
  • Maturity
Concerns:

  • Age (in regards to performance ceiling)
  • Ability to drive passes downfield
  • Lower-half mechanics
  • One-read QB at times

Away from concerns about his age, where Shough’s player development phase is completed, he has traits that many teams look for in a potential contributor at the NFL level, should the surroundings correlate to what he does best.

  • Questions about playing outside at next level
  • Not an elite separator against man coverage
Overall, given his productivity, it’s hard not to be impressed by Nash. Despite being relatively new to playing wide receiver, he has an NFL skill set with plenty of room to grow.
