I think we are saying the same thing essentially, it's just that I'm a nicer guy than you are. . Griff made some mistakes, but nothing horrendous, and was not helped by Aldrick's drop (which would have made his stats look even better). He missed some opportunities sure, but I was watching the Denver/Pitt game last week and Peyton missed a couple of wide open guys sometimes. It's gonna happen.

To me, if you (general you, not you specifically El) aren't pleased as punch with our shiny new toy, something's wrong with ya!

I'm thrilled that at the very least, our QB will give us entertainment this season and something to get excited about each Sunday.

My concern is that with piss poor special teams play and a horrendous secondary, as the season wears on, Robert might be forced to play from behind quite a bit this season and be forced into situations where he's asked to carry too heavy of a load and put the team on his back offensively.

If this ends up coming to fruition, I'm not quite sure that our offensive line could hold up long enough to keep Robert upright and healthy through October.

Yeah, he's putting up some good stats, but I would like to have seen what he could have done given the chance yesterday instead of attempting the 62 yard FG. Not saying I am not pleased thus far. But it's 2 games in, his one chance to come from behind was unsuccessful. I want to see how he handles pressure and yesterday I would give him a B- in that regard. The week before he got an A+ so don't think I am being overly critical.

That's okay, but you are being too critical. He is a rookie playing for a team with a C at best offensive line. If everyone was healthy it might be a better line, but it isn't right now.

I am not blaming Griff for that decision Goal. That was not the basis for the B- for yesterday's game. I am basing that opinion on the way he handled himself a few times on the field, the way he was flustered when the Rams hit him with a couple of cheap shots. He didn't handle it as well as I would like to have seen, but at least he didn't handle it like Josh Morgan.

What I would like to have seen was him hitting the wide open receiver down field when he had time instead of throwing a poor pass that reminded me of McNabb on the last drive. I would like to have seen him hit the edge on 1st and 10 of that drive when there was a wide open field for him to chew off yardage, instead he held on to the ball too long and ended up throwing the ball away. I would like to have seen him a little more patient when he threw that INT. Don't forget, we had another questionable penalty that gave us a first down during that drive so it wasn't all Griff's doing to get us almost into FG range.

Dude...you are being way too critical. He's a rookie in his second NFL game; cut him a little slack!

Oh, and as far as hitting the open receiver downfield when he has time; here you go:

I am grading him fairly. He was a little above average yesterday...a C is average guys. He made some mistakes and after reviewing the game tonight I noticed he was bitching to the refs about some hits that were fair. He didn't do what London did, let the refs know there was a mistake and go out and blast the opposition. He actually did a little crying after a couple of fair hits on a couple of plays where there was no actual dirty play after the whistle. Then he threw an INT 2 plays after one and threw a dirt bomb on another on 3rd down. He scrambled too quickly on one play and then a few plays later he stayed in the pocket too long. He missed a wide open receiver on one play where he threw a dirt bomb again. Lanky you know which play it was, you mentioned it in the chat room during the game. I think it was a wide open Aldrick Robinson. Look, he made some mistakes.

This is not bad guys. In 2 games he scored an A+ and a B- minus. I will take that all season long. This was just one game and I am very excited by the good I have seen, but he had a B- day in my opinion. He's a rookie, he will make mistakes all season long and when he does he won't deserve an A because he's a rookie.

I don't know El, for the stuff he was facing, cheap tactics, he responded better than any rookie I remember, in their second game. That they didn't get him out of his game, for the whole game, is quite the thing. You're grade seems to be rating him as a veteran, with his minimal reactions.

For a rook, he was straight aces.

What we are finding out is the lingering concerns about a weak OL and secondary are going to continue to hurt us until they are fixed.

Even with Griffin at qb and several other younger players and free agents stepping up elsewhere.
