still...too many of the NFL fanbase thinks Terry is no more than a decent #2. I attribute some of the development of our secondary receivers to Terry. he sets the tone and accountability in that receiver room. if he is not, basically, a lifer I will riot.

Yeah I sat there for a while in disbelief after it was over. I watched the game again and could not believe what I was seeing. We went on the road and beat a 15-2 team by 14 points, it really wasn't even close at the end. I went into the playoff with the "House Money" mentality. But now it's switched to "Why Not Us?" They kind of remind me of the Valvano run at NC State. Sometimes teams get hot (and lucky) at the right time.

But Luvu’s hit on Goff wasn’t called…. and I’m sorry, that 4th down PI call on Joseph against Terry was a flop by Terry. Joseph played it damn near perfect… there was no way he flipped Terry around with his hand on his waist.

I guess my takeaway is that I don’t feel the zebras were a major factor in this game. Either way.

Good take. I was outraged at a few of the calls that went against us but fans forget all the calls that helped us, these 2 are good examples. We did get breaks yesterday. A punt that landed at the 1/2 yard line and bounces backwards, the 12 man on the field penalty when everyone thought it was a delay of game. Those breaks told me it's just our day.
 
Thanks for the write-up KDawg, excellent as always! As far as the officiating goes, I was ruffled by a few calls (and non-calls), but overall, I think the crew basically let both teams play. They botched a few (especially that erroneous facemask call), but I'm glad this wasn't a KC-Houston type deal where one team is lamenting the impact the officials had on the outcome. Phenomenal coaching and some bad ass players (some underrated and under the radar) opened up a can on the road against a #1 seeded juggernaut. Hail baby, Hail!!
 
You’re killing it with the thread titles Kdawg. This was another good one.

I’m worried to jinx us, but one other thing I’ll note is that we seem to have cleaned up the stupid penalties. We had a few yesterday, but it seems like during the regular season, we had a bunch of scores and first downs taken off the board by penalties.

Also, it seems like Luvu is a little bit of a head hunter with opposing QB’s. He’s the one that knocked Hurts out of the second Eagles game, and I can’t help but wonder if Goff wasn’t affected by that hit Luvu laid on him after the interception.

Luvu knocked out another QB after the Eagles game too. I’m afraid at some point he’s going to be targeted like BSJ.
 
New to this site so first post. LOL at all the posters bragging (?) about their age . I was 44 in 91, a Skins fan since I was stationed in Norfolk in the early 70s. By 91 I had every player on the roster memorized, height/weight, speed, strengths and weaknesses. They were exceptionally strong on both offense and defense, basically no major holes at all. They had great coaching and like this team Gibbs had them playing for each other as a team. Most of the backups could have started for other teams.

It’s a new age now and that would just about be impossible what with that new fangled free agency, salary cap, etc. But the thing this team has they did not is a true generational QB, maybe best in the league by next year. What I see watching this team keep winning does not so much remind me of their past championship runs, it reminds me of a certain New England team in the early 2000s who had a gangly second year nobody at QB who carried them all the way and had nerves of ice cold plutonium. I remember his accuracy, decision making, and how he was totally calm and confident in the Super Bowl, having fun with no fear.

And ours can run!
 
They showed a tweet JD5 made years ago on TV yesterday...something like "one day everyone will know my name"...very much akin to Brady saying "I want to be a household name" when he was young.
Coincidence? I think not.
(And there aren't any words for how much I hate Brady.)

Ertz has been so reliable. What a coup for Jayden to have a reliable vet at TE. And what a huge signing for Peters.

The coaching staff deserves so much praise. Kudos to Kingsbury for not taking interviews during the playoff run. Everybody is all in. I almost can’t remember having such a well coached team.

Also, it’s going to be HILARIOUS if Ben Johnson winds up with the Raiders.

I can see games like yesterday as an exception. When you know the other offense will score a lot of points then maximizing each drive is key. If we settled for field goals yesterday I think Detroit takes the game.

But yeah, it's alien to go for it on fourth so much... even worse when out of field goal range knowing the kind of field position you may be giving up.
 
Can’t believe this is real. Wasn’t sure which QB we should have taken in the draft in an April, but wow what home run. So many underrated FA signings too. What a tremendous job by the entire staff all around. You are right talk about maximizing what they have to work with wow.

This team is so fun and easy to root for, even though they try to kill me at times, cardiac commanders for real. They are a true team, they don’t quit and play together. This is a special season can’t believe we can even think Super Bowl amazing.

Having #5 is a bit of a cheat code though on 3rd and 4th and 3 or less. It’s a bit like Philly with the tush push - we are not quite that automatic but it certainly changes the calculation on go/no go.
