How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

The only thing with this, is we'll end up wearing that " Super Bowl " uniform 13 or 14 times a year even if we wore black at home a couple times. The only time we would wear burgundy is when we play an away game against a team that's wearing white at home..

Wasn’t that the case when we were the Redskins and that was our regular uniform during Gibbs I? Maybe my memory on it is a bit sketchy. Until the rebrand I never really paid a lot of attention game to game to which we were wearing the burgundy or the white.
 
OK, I decided to add a poll to this thread. I’m curious to see what everyone likes about the current uniforms, so you can check all the options, or you can check I don’t like anything at all, but only check the ones that you actually like. You might like some more than others, but it really doesn’t matter. I’m curious what everyone thinks should stay and what should go. If you don’t like it at all don’t vote for that option.

The poll will close on December 13 after we’ve had a chance to wear all the uniforms on the field this season. Maybe we’ll get some more members and during the season they can chime in as well.
 
Also, in order not to taint the poll, you cannot see the results until you vote.

I want the poll to be as honest as we can possibly make it.

I like that jersey enough that if it stayed in its current condition, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. I would have designed it differently, but if it was a keeper, I could live with it as long as the Super Bowl era also became a regular in the rotation.
 
Sorry guys, I had to edit the poll to add the black jersey and the black pants. I forgot about it’s now updated. I think when this is over, we should get a reasonably accurate representation of what the fan base thinks.

Yeah change your vote if you already voted otherwise it could be wrong. When I looked at mine it said I voted for the black jerseys when I most certainly did not.
 
The only thing I “like” are the SB era stuff. The other things are broken down into levels of tolerance. I can tolerate the current burgundy. I can tolerate the Black alts once or twice a year. I cannot tolerate those white abominations - ever.

But that would is what happens when you take an almost 100 year old franchise and try to spin uniforms to as close to expansion team as you can get without fully changing the colors. And my opinion has nothing to do with the name. It could have been any of the better name options and I would feel the same way.

God I loathe those white jerseys to the point of irrationality. It’s like someone punched my grandma level of hate. If I could get some white ones on the cheap I would burn them in my burn barrel and do a dance around it and upload it to YouTube.

I HATE THEM.
 
AngryChuckT ironically last year during the playoff push as much as they do look different than our traditional uniforms…they were the closest I felt to “looking” like us other than adding the gold pants back with the current burgundy jersey. At least the basic color scheme was sort of intact.

For me the dream scenario is we go back to the traditional Burgundy and White uniforms, embrace the reality that a lot of people do like a black variant and use that one as the ALT. Put the Roman Spear on the “Battle Blacks” helmet or use the Current W logo. Get rid of all one color uniforms (which it appears for the most part they have) Use the Super Bowl era pants with the black jersey.

For the time being, I’m going to let people change their vote. I think it’s possible some still haven’t had a chance to recast yet.

Thanks. I fixed it. I voted on my iPad and my old fat fingers must have accidentally hit “ nothing.”
 
Those are the first Washington football items I’ve bought in the last 20 years. I’m also waiting for the white hat and the red camo hat to be restocked so I can purchase them too. $300 in hats 😂

And it’s just the beginning.

Mostly because this franchise has committed to be a respectable business and winning team on the field.

But the W logo has also grown on me. And if I’m being honest, I think Tuddy was a clever tribute to the past… as much as I can even care about mascots.

As the founder of the ‘black’ theme for Washington football…. I’m bias towards the black uniforms. I like the reds. Hate the whites. Would love the team going with the new old duds full time.

I’d love for them to change the team name… but I’ve accepted they won’t. And I’m not fixated on it any longer. I can live with it… but it would be such a slam dunk otherwise.

The only problem with the W logo is that it isn’t the Redskins logo. Once you can find your way past that…it’s a decent logo.

I’ve liked the W from the start. Looks good on the helmet, especially the Super Bowl variation. 👍
