How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

I actually don’t disagree, but that finish still doesn’t look exactly like our original…that one looks brighter to me even though it does have the metallic effect not the matte. Pops off the helmet more.

There's no where near enough room to 2 digits in that middle stripe. I don't like 'busy' uniforms with numerous elements The players have giant numbers on their uniforms - why on earth do we need them on the helmet? Then again, I actually like the look of the previous Commanders helmets with the darker matte burgundy, so I'm not in the mainstream on any of this.

I get the idea it feels too busy, but I think the numbers on the helmet are cool in a retro way, and they’ve definitely been part of our uniforms at different times in the past, including some of the early 1980s teams the new throwbacks are based on and our current look.

The utility of having the numbers on the helmets is probably more about telling them apart in the equipment room than telling the players apart on the field of play, though I agree they’re not necessary.
 
For those who don’t like the battle blacks take heart, they are only being worn once this year. Week 6 against the Bears.
 
I know very few people who like the white jerseys.

I do think we should limit ourselves getting caught up on how 'close' the color of the new throwback is to the current regular matte red helmet. The throw back minis are a replica from a 3rd party company who makes the helmet.

My personal thought would be they wouldn't have a 3rd helmet that is about 6 degrees of color away from there current full time helmet. They would simply add the white stripes to the current helmet and change the face masks. I have 2 different Redskins mini helmets that are both 'Riddel' and they are different shades of burgundy if you put them side by side so it's hard to say that's the 'exact' color the official game worn helmets are going to be. We're part of the In-Season hard knocks this year, so I imagine we will get some behind the scenes info on stuff like this during the weeks leading up to the games we're wearing them in.
 
Black vs the Bears feels like trolling.

While I'd far rather see a confident victory, another unbelievable last gasp win would surely cement the legacy of the black uniforms?

100% agree, I hate the matte helmets, even more so than the black and white uniforms, which is saying something.
 
The X response under the uniform schedule post from the team has been pretty interesting.

Unlike here, most of the comments are people upset they are only wearing the black uniform once this year. Numerous people state that is far away their favorite.

The other half are saying the only ones they should wear are the Super Bowl era and the rest are trash lol.

I haven’t seen anybody say their favorites are the “monumental whites“

At some point, we’re gonna just have to find something and stick with it. I would make the Super Bowl uni the Home uniform next year, get back to our traditional burgundy as the away, tweak the black jersey, add burgundy pants and the black helmet with the regular W logo or the Crest and keep them as the alternate.
