I know hindsight is 20/20, but all they really had to do was what they did with these uniforms and remain as the Washington Football Team. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE these uniforms - I see my Redskins. However, I still got no idea what a Commander is.

If they just stuck with Washington (or District Football Club, etc) then they could have maintained the Native American connection in an unofficial way.

To see these, even with the W, alongside the current uniforms is a stark comment on how they should never have messed with them in the first place.

I am not gonna lie, I teared up a little when I saw them. I am so happy. It is us - or at least as close to us as we can expect in 2025.

I am will buying my first Commanders Jersey as soon as they are offered for pre-order:

1. They look awesome.
2. I want to make sure ownership knows keeping us as close as they can to tradition is a great financial move.

Cool. I’m not disappointed, but I can’t say I’m overwhelmed either. Of course I’m psyched to have the old look back, but that much seems easy and obvious. They met the minimum expectations and I’ll take it, but nothing bold here. Bold would have been the old helmet logo, without it these are only partially throwbacks to the super bowl era.

So does this signify that we will never see the old logo again? Feels like it but I guess we’ll see. Maybe when these become permanent, they can do a real throwback with the logo included. Also, I have to wonder why the tease with the spear that they put out? That’s kinda what got my hopes up that we’d be getting more than what we did.

My guess is they will look like the old burgundy ones that got worn 1-2 times a year. Along with bringing back white and yellow STRIPED pants.

It wouldn't shock me if the black uniforms disappear, either this year or next.

I'd love to see a Lombardi-era look as an alternate. A yellow helmet with the burgundy W? Yes please!

The old logo is NEVER coming back. Don’t you think if that was in the table, even as an alternate, it would’ve already been brought back? They know the fanbase would shout to the heavens. It’s not going to happen.

I don’t mean to give tough love. But it’s approaching delusion at this point to think anything Native American themed will ever be a part of this brand again. They aren’t going back in that direction again.

The matte finish on the helmet was always one of the few things I kinda liked about any of the new stuff.

That said, they might move away from this shell when these alt's eventually become permanent, wouldn't surprise me.

1. You’re not describing bold, you’re describing pie in the sky. The old logo is never coming back. Even if you think the criticism about it is incorrect, then the issue is too many people are misinformed about it to accept it again. It’s dead.

2. The team didn’t tease the spear thing, it was basically leaked. We still don’t know what that promo shoot will prove to be about.

Well no, of course I don’t expect it to become part of the current brand, but I thought we were talking about “throwbacks” here. I don’t doubt what you say is likely true, but I do wonder why they put out the tease with the spear?
