After watching the game, eating dinner and calming down I have a couple of thoughts.

Starting with today's game, I do not think we played that well, I think the 49ers played down to us. Lets face it we are a bad team, and it is what we have always said we do against bad teams.

I have been all over Gruden today and I think it is warranted. Lets look at a few things. Griffin gets hurt early in the season, and Cousins takes over. In Gruden's system after 1 good game Cousins struggled and was benched. Enter Colt, who had a good game before Griffin came back. Now Griffin looks horrible, and it is obvious he will be benched in the next week or two. So Colt will be back, does anyone think Colt will tear it up? I don't, odds are he will be like the other two. So at the end of this season we could have went through 3 QB's and none of them are any good.

Maybe it is not their fault, maybe the Coach does not game plan to their strengths. IMO after today Griffin is done, it was obvious to me that we do not scheme to his strengths it is just a matter of time before they pull him. Was it the same with Cousins, I am not sure.....

I think that Gruden wants to bring in or draft his guy, and is just getting rid of the ones he doesn't want. Again this is just my thoughts. Why else would he be calling out Griffin like he did, and saying his time is almost up when he has only started 3 games this season before today? At the end of this year, there is no way we keep the 3 QB's we have now. I think Cousins and Griffin will be gone. And at that point we start from scratch again.

We all know at the end of the year we will be in search of a new DC. So this team will be starting all over again next year, new QB, new DC, new players......

How long of a leash does Gruden have? What scares me is he gets a couple of years and destroys this team and we are in the same position all over again. I am not wishing this, but man I can easily see it happening. We have been in this same cycle since Snyder bought the team, and I see no end to it in the future. I have to clue how we bust out of it.

As I have said before I was a Redskins fan before any of these players or coaches got here, and I will be a fan long after they are gone. Hail To The Redskins

We did scheme to Robert's strength today. There were a couple called delays for Robert to run the ball. They rolled him out in play action. They even ran some read option.

I remember two rollouts. The first was a nice play. The second, the 49ers didn't bite, and he had a defender in his face and he threw to the under route. I am surprised week after week they aren't using more rollouts and bootlegs to move the pocket and use his strength. I'm guessing that maybe Gruden is worried he will run, I don't know.

As far as Gruden bringing in "his guy", that's just more of the same with this team. Brining in a new coach, he doesn't like the QBs in the system, he brings in his guy, the coach is fired. Then the next coach inherits someone else's guy, then wants his own guy. Wash rinse repeat. At some point, a coach is going to have to take time to develop his QB, but I don't think a coach will ever be given time to let that happen.
