I’ve already seen enough…#LocksleyOut!

Not even halfway through their first quarter, and 7 penalties already. If there’s one hallmark of this Locksley era, it’s no discipline.

Do like what I’m seeing from Washington. First start as a true frosh, and he looks the part. Of course this is against Florida Atlantic, and things will get much tougher soon, but college football does not look too big for him right out of the gate.

I was away from home all weekend and did not watch the game, but it amazes me that Locksley still can’t clean up the penalties. 14-100 is ridiculous against a team you demolished. I guess he’s still the cool dad to all these kids and won’t discipline them, but they have no shot at upsetting anyone good when they commit these penalties.

First real test for the Terps, and they’re looking good. Wisconsin really sucks this year, due to a bunch of injuries already.

Just saw the worst call I’ve seen in ages, where the refs said defender was blocked into punt returner, when the guy was barely touched, and took two steps, lowered his shoulder, and drilled the guy. Mind boggling call.

Offense still sputters too much, and play calling/design can be head scratching, but Malik Washington has got a bazooka for an arm. If he learns how to throw with better touch, he will be a first round pick in a couple years.

Back to good ole Terp football second half. Take a 20-0 lead, and get the ball, and have gone 3 and out 3 straight possessions.

Tons of raw talent on this year’s Maryland roster, just think this coaching staff lets them down. Especially on offense…defense has been better than the past couple years.

Maryland really blew it today. Got up 20-0 early in the 3rd and then outscored 24-0 the rest of the way. Only 1 first down between the time they went up 20-0 and when they lost the lead. You can’t do that. You have to keep moving the ball on offense. Sadly, even with all of that, they may win if that ball isn’t dropped on the last drive. Perfect throw by Washington and Farooq, who was great in the first half, just couldn’t make the catch. It would have been fun to see what happened had he made that catch. But they should have never been in that spot after the lead they built.

Huge game for the Terps and Locksley today. Last week was another disappointing loss for a Locksley led team at Maryland. Trying to cruise a game home against a good team in the B1G is a recipe for disaster, and Locksley seems to not have learned that lesson. At one point in that second half, they had five passes thrown over two separate series, none of which were thrown past the line of scrimmage. Another instance of a Locks-led team playing to not lose, as opposed to playing to win.

Nebraska is another good team, similar to Washington, with a very good QB and offense, but a defense that can be gotten. A second consecutive loss at home could result in this team spiraling. Realistically, there are only two games left after this where Maryland should be considered the favorite (Rutgers and MSU), with both of those on the road.

I see this as a pivotal game for this team, and for Locksley’s continued tenure. Time for the Terps to win a big B1G game today. Can’t continue to beat up the tomato cans early season, then fold .

Thinking this afternoon could be make or break for Locksley at Maryland. Losing a 5th straight, to Rutgers, may be more than the trustees, and large donors can handle. Last 3 games are @ Illinois, Michigan, and @ Michigan State. They can win any of those three, but I wouldn’t bet on it. A loss today could lead to 4-8, and I don’t see any way back to College Park for Locksley if that happens.
