With the defacto Snyder-era ending and this season mercifully coming to it’s end, with Ron Rivera possibly leaving the team in a bookend parallel position of #2 draft positions after 4 seasons, the Washington franchise can finally begin the journey of attempting a return to respectability for the first real time in three decades. Hopefully turning their supposed culture improvements into a level that includes winning.

We, the fans, are in store for a painfully long month, or most likely two, until we get to see the seeds of the future planted. But, in reality, what are a few months compared to the generation of chaos that preceded? The hardest part for me will be being subjected to all of the ponderous fan ‘discussions’ that have already begun and will no doubt accelerate. This will continue to happen despite the fact that those that will be tasked have yet to be identified.

I am striving to ‘be where my feet are’ and to not get too much up ‘in my feelings‘. If Josh Harris desires, I am available for consultation as to the best path forward. Until then, I will sleep deeply with the simple understanding that I know little more than the average fan Joe and hope the $6b brings with it an inspired and intelligent path forward.

It cannot possibly be worse than I am accustomed to. Can it?

Just watch out for the lightning at the end of the tunnel as you exit the roadway :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

This organization along with the Wizards you just can't trust them to do the right thing until you see it done :devilish:

At least with Rizzo (Nationals) and MacClellan (Caps), they have proven they can draft and trade guys to win a championship.

These other teams?

You are talking about 5 or 6 Presidents ago when these teams were actually relevant

Going to be a very interesting couple months. I think shoes are going to drop more quickly than we think though.

As long as Harris doesn't bring Belichick here. If he does that he will be channeling his inner Snyder and that will be a very bad sign for the organization moving forward.

We don't need 71 year old retreads whose record over the past 4 years is similar to Ron's.

The light at the end of that tunnel might be a freight train

It might take a freight train for Harris and the new management team to blow away all of the negative vibes coming off the Snyder tenure.

Or an exorcism :devilish:

Leaks only come when there is discord in an organization and people have issues with leadership.

Snyder could never stem the flow of leaks largely because there were so many people in his own organization that couldn't stand him.
