How do you feel about tonights game?

How do I feel about tonight's game?

As Yogi Berra once said "Like Deja vu all over again."

The Redskins like to tease it's own fans, so I believe they'll start off good...look good and by halftime, have most of us all sucked back in.

Then late in the third, the execution drops off...the bonehead mistakes start popping up and the refs jerk our chain on some bad calls.

As the game spirals out of our grasp in the 4th quarter, we have a realization and a reaction, much like this one:

I hope to see Alf get a huge run where Trent gets downfield and legally pummels the hell outa' Sherman followed shortly by a quick screen to Helu who knocks the crap outa' him again on the way to a TD for the final lead of the game.

Not excited at all. But I do want to apologize to our Redskins brothers, when I previously posted that Seahawks own us. Just read in the paper that Redskins have beaten the Seahawks 6 strait regular season games. I keep letting those more important playoff game losses bother me and sticks in the mind. The opposite stat though is that Redskins have lost 6 strait prime time games. So somethings got to give. And I know we just don't show up for Monday nighters.

I got a feeling we take this game...like McD5 said, they do not travel well, especially to the east coast. Their only saving grace is that it is a prime time game. I kinda wish this were a Sunday noon game that would be a bigger adjustment at game time with the time change.

I still think this is a big chance for us to prove we are not a bad team...just lacking depth at key positions. This is the one shocker of the year for us.

Redskins 34
Seahags 24

Cousins takes a knee to end the game.

I'm feelin like I didn't get a long enough of a nap this afternoon, and the 4th quarter is in question. Really feelin I'll be pretty tired in the morning.

I'm going to miss the first half but I'm recording this game. It will be one for the ages!

How do I feel about tonight's game?

My wife said she had a piece of apple pie leftover that she served to some friends. I said I'd save it for later on tonight when I need a bit of comfort. :(

See. I read and start to let hope slip in. I get sucked in every single time. Any given day and all that. Give 'em hell boys.

you can't win without talent.

you can't win when the coaching isn't good enough to overcome talent deficits.

same ole *hit.

LOSERS. not good for the soul.

It's midnight and I'm asking myself yet again:

When will I ever learn to just turn it off and go to bed at a decent hour instead of letting the Skins rob me of precious sleep?

Night all.

Well, this is reality for 99% of us:

Heading into the game I thought we were going to be slaughtered, but they tried to actually make it competitive.

I saw a cake before that read "Congratulations! You exceeded our low expectations!"

Depressed, disappointed in several players and totally accepting of our suckitude. This is one year I would love to have been wrong about my preseason thoughts on the team. I've been wrong plenty of other times when I thought we'd be pretty good, surely I should have it the other way now just for balance...right?

Cousins looked gun shy early. The defense couldn't follow their assignments so Wilson embarrassed them. Special teams had to pock kick offs and use directional punts. If we could ever play all 3 phases well in a game we have a chance to win.

It is easy to blame the coaches and schemes. But at some point the players have to do their jobs and make a play.

Highlights.... No turnovers and only 3 penalties! Got to find some positive.

Didn't have any hope we would win...and they proved my thinking was right.

Right now I feel stupid for having drank the kool aid thinking 8-8 was where we would be.

Cousins did a fine job. He was off target a few times had one blocked but he's been throwing some really nice deep balls that aren't being dropped. He get's rid of the ball quickly. The Oline isn't helping much, the running game was non existent for most of the night. That should have been a recipe for disaster for a young qb playing against Seattle.
Special teams were ok . Defense played well in the second half not so much in the first. Where are the turnovers? It doesn't seem like we are getting our fair share this season.

Well, the team has a turnover differential average of -1 PER GAME. That isn't getting it done. That puts them at 29th in the league.

They were -0.5 per game last year, which put them at 25th in the league.

2012 they were +.9 per game which was 3rd in the NFL.

2011 they were -0.9 per game which was 30th in the league.

2010 they were -0.2 per game which was 20th in the league.

2009 they were -0.7 per game which was 27th in the league.

Turnovers has been a problem for this team for years. The exception was 2012 when they went to the playoffs. There is a definite correlation between turnovers and record. The question is how do you turn it around? Is it just coaching? Talent? Luck? More likely some combination thereof. Whatever it is they need to figure it out and fix it.

Actually feel pretty meh. Was expecting them to beat us by 20+. IMHO this one was lost by blown assignments and lack of a run game.

I would like to see us tinker with some no-huddle throughout the next few games to minimize our O-line breakdowns. Well blocking breakdowns in general.
