I went into last weeks game feeling excited, thinking we'd at least make a strong showing of ourselves. While I was concerned about a let down, I didn't expect a melt down. Today I'm finding it hard to get past ambivalence. I have no hope for the game at all. I desperately don't want to see another embarrassment like last week. I find myself decidedly not looking forward to it, while at the same time incapable of tuning it out. What does a fan have to to to at least have a team that wins more than loses. So depressing how long it's been. It's a reset every 3-4 years having to give the new whoever the benefit of the doubt. ugh.

Indifferent. Numb. Can't believe it took this long to sink in for me. No expectations. No let down.

I find that no matter how bad I'm prepared for us to be, my hope/optimism rises on game day throughout the day. It's no telling where I'll end up, but it'll probably be somewhere on the end of making it respectable to thinking we may pull it out.

I really want to stuff it to these guys. Not only because I get pissed at how their defense plays, but even back to two years ago, I would always hear how inventive Seattle and San Fran were for running the read option. Yeah, they ran it well, but they never would have tried it if RGIII and the Skins hadn't done it so well early in the 2012 season.

Two weeks ago, coming off Philly, I would have thought we might put up a fight--make it interesting. Maybe even steal the win if Seattle was a little off and/or the ball bounced our way.

After the Giants debacle, I'm back where I've been too often the last few years ... just hoping we don't embarrass ourselves.

Got tickets to a great concert way back before I'd seen the date conflict. Kinda glad in a way.

This pretty well sums up how I think tonight will go...

since were sharing clips and all

I feel damn good about the game.

Ask me about the piss poor condition of the fan base, and I'm ready to slit my wrists with the rest of you.

Well, you have to hope for good things or there's not much point in being a fan. Anything can happen in an NFL game. We're a better team by far than we showed against the Giants.

My feeling, F Seattle, that is all

Geez. Seattle's only 8-7 on the road. They're an entirely different team than at home. Not some powerhouse that should be feared.

We have one problem--D Hall is out. And that hurts badly, so we'll need to score some points.

But I expect a very competitive game, and also expect to see one of our RBs throw a touchdown pass. Andre Roberts will be involved somehow.

This coach isn't going to lay down without a fight. We'll have some great plays drawn up on offense.

This is where I am. If they win great, if they lose meh. I'll still cheer and watch the whole thing but when I turn if off I don't think I'm gonna be too pissed or too happy either way. (poundsign) fanburnout

I'm actually pretty bullish on Gruden going forward ... but to me that's a different conversation. As far as tonight, I'm just having a hard time seeing this wounded Redskins team, with its overmatched defensive brain mistrust, in a nationally televised night game, holding up over 60 minutes against the defending champs. With their smart, mobile QB. And their beast RB. And a defense that eats small children for breakfast and will come into this game with absolutely zero fear of indigestion.

Hey ... turns out this Doom and Gloom stuff can be kinda cathartic. Let me wallow a little more. By kickoff I'll be hummin' the Hail song. :)

I feel this season puts Gruden on the map if he gets us back into playoff contention even with a loss tonight. I would expect a few more losses as well. To me he seems like the right man for the job. This team has shown some firepower on offense. With either qb...I'm quite fascinated at seeing a prototypical pocket passer playing behind the same line. Griffin is my sentimental favorite but it's Cousins to lose. I'm good with Griffin getting healed up and earning his way back up. I like both of our guys and don't believe the crappy line if you have 2 qbs you don't have one yada yada.....anyone still remember hobble and wobble circa 1972? Earl Morral for God's sake. There are way to many exceptions to the rule. So I'm excited to watch this offense with either qb>Johnny football,Sam Bradford, Geno Smith) heck blown wasted draft picks are a way of life for teams. Look what the Rams did with their picks and look at there qb situation and tell me they won? It makes sense to me. Gruden is finding his guys but he's still on his honeymoon. A hard fought battle means a lot. Victory Means More. HTTR.

I think we're taking this tonight. Yeah, I said it. I know I've been down on the NFL lately, but for this game, I think we shock the world.

I think our D is better than people are giving it, and I think our O is legit. The Giants game was a Thursday Night aberration, as most Thursday Night games are. That's just not enough time for a team to prepare, particularly with a brand new head coach going up against a seasoned vet like Coughlin. We should have seen that coming.

Tonight will be better. MUCH better, I think.

I believe this is a golden opportunity for Gruden to validate himself. He's a straight talker and seems to be managing the team through a tough start. Great coaches find ways to win instead of wilting in the sun like so many ex coaches. Gruden is different and I know he was embarrassed in the last game.

I got my Seahawk in the oven (Label said chicken, but I know dead Seahawk when I see it)
Having my first tall glass of Seahawk blood while I type this (1 part V-8, that's Victory-8, to 3 parts Yuengling = Seahawk blood)
Looking forward to my team getting back in the win column.

Life is what we make it brothers. I wait most of the year for football season. I'll be damned if I allow myself to fall into the bottomless pit of gloom & doom, and ruin it.
It's a choice. I choose, not.

Oh, and Goaldy.

Thank you for your post in here. Driving home from work, with the way this thread was going before I left, on top of the last week and a half, I imagined myself coming in here once I got home, and rippin' some ass, likely getting myself banned. Your post changed that.
