I have heard stories about the fig jam.
Even the raw fig itself, is often referred to as "nature's jelly doughnut"

Stop feeding it. You should be getting figs almost immediately from my experience. Fertilizer makes the plant grow lots of branches and leaves, instead of using that energy to produce fruit. I would bet if you never fertilize again, you will have so many figs you won't know what to do with them. I have never fertilized mine and I have gallons of frozen figs I need to do something to do with .

Figs aren't one of them. I've had fig trees produce the first year, almost always in the 2nd year.

Then there's trees on the other extreme, that take up to 20 years to produce fruit.
Take the notorious Goat Tree, native to Morocco.

From the time of planting, it takes decades to produce the infamous Goatfruit.
Some people describe the flesh of the Goatfruit, as having a "meaty-like" taste.
Others like the Goatfruit because it excretes a milky-like substance that they drink straight from the fruit.

But a strong word of caution. Picking these fruits can be very dangerous.
When picking the fruit, it is often known to slam down, smack on your forehead, giving you a massive headache for days.

Your Lychee tree has high hopes for Climate Change to come just in time to produce fruit

The one on the right is from Dollar Tree, and sold for about a buck.
Guess which one cuts better. Actually way better

Today I put 4,000 red wriggler worms in my raised beds. I was skeptical because I ordered them online. They arrived in a box, packed in some sphaghnum moss in little drawstring pouches. You would think after 2-3 days of being shipped there would be no way they'd be alive, but I added a 1/2 cup of water to each bag and sure enough they were alive and active. I just dumped them in piles in my raised beds and watered them in until they were down beneath the soil.
