Katie - love my Nike Fuelband- it even recognizes cycling work. Definitely motivates me a little more and a cool little gadget. 33 on the bike today and starting to feel stronger.back to P90X tomorrow.

I went and looked at it. Interesting. No app for Android yet which is a serious downer. I don't do Apple. :(

Skipped yesterday's run because, well, it was my birthday and I decided to sit on my posterior and play video games all day (and I'd do it again!) but today I went back to TKD class. Lots and lots of cardio today. And lots of kicks.

I have the app on my iPhone, but I usually just plug it in to my PC to look at my results, trends, etc...

Hope you had a birthday filled with blessings!! May your kicks always find their target!

Thing I like best (and which set the Fuelband apart from other monitors like the Jawbone 'Up') is that I can see my results and progress towards daily goal right on the band's LED display.

Yeah, I really like that too. I just like to see the graphs on my computer :D

I also like that it doubles as a watch so I'm not having to hold my phone in my pocket when I'm coaching gymnastics. I normally don't wear a regular watch when spotting gymnasts so neither of us get hurt, but the fuelband is so smooth there's really no major risk of injury. I know it's a little thing, but something that has made me happy. I would be happier if they put a clock in the gymnastics room, but that might be too much to ask

Last summer, before I hurt my shoulder, I was mixing the two. It was epic. Not that I was completing workouts before I fell over but it was epic. :)
Oh no doubt...shawn t is in ridiculous shape too. Dude is iron born or something

Is the pollen killing anyone else out there? I actually ran on the treadmill the other day, even though it was sunny and 60 degrees, because I couldn't breathe outside.

It was getting me pretty bad last week down here, but now that most of the trees are in full new leaf now, plus a little rain, the recent pollen storm has subsided. On to the next batch.

Got outside today for an easy three and survived. Must have been the Claritin. :)

Yes, it kills me Henry, I use Claritin and it seems to work very well for me.

Today's workout was nice, opened the garage doors to let the air flow and went to town on the mook jong and just did pushups, crunches and shoulder lifts.

90 min. yoga routine (P90X) tonight...not my favorite routine, but definitely loosened up some sore and beat up joints.

Today's Crossfit:

100 Squats
90 push-ups
80 Lunges
70 Burrpees
60 Kettle Bell Swings
50 Bent-over rows
40 Flutter kicks each leg
30 Box Jumps
20 Sit-ups
10 Handstand push-ups (yeah right1)

*After the burpees I pretty much crapped out  I could do about 6-10 reps at a time from the 60-rep exercise on, but I didn't feel too badly because everyone else in the class was having trouble too.

Tomorrow, long mountain bike ride.

Hobbled my ass around and passed my last pt test in this age bracket today. Have i mentioned i hate running?

My youngest was home sick today so instead of TKD class I did the Kenpo X disc again. It's getting generally easier on the arms now but I felt some shooting pain in my shoulder towards the end and it aches pretty bad at the moment. Popped some Advil, icing it down and hoping for the best.

Apparently I can't even throw a good left hook anymore ...

I feel your pain Henry, literally. My right shoulder has been acting up a lot over the last week or so. Yesterday, I moved it just so and heard a huge pop and it almost made my knees buckle!

Would anyone else be down with doing some before/after pics, with measurements maybe? We can do a Biggest Loser style and maybe put a deadline on it or something like the end of summer. Just a thought.

Lost four more pounds last week, seriously excited. I'm down about 25 lbs or so since Feb. Pretty much exclusively eating fish and veggies for lunch, and trying to cut out red meat as well (not always possible, but I have it down to once or twice a week at this point).

Also exercising at the Y three or four days a week. Just doing the eliptical machines for half an hour, but I started at 15 minutes, and want to be able to build up the endurance to 45 minutes and then an hour at a time.

Thanks for letting a fat slob participate in the thread. You guys/gals inspire me! :)

By the way, I'm using Weight Watchers, which is going great for the food. They are now starting to tell me I am losing too much weight too quickly, which is kinda hashing my mellow. Anyone know anything about that? Is 4-5 lbs/week too much?
