Griffin OUT for Saturday's Game

Bob...we call Robert Bob constantly here even though nobody has ever heard him called that except for by some asshole vagiants players. It's been a term of disrespect since his acl injury and people have thought he was 'just another guy'.

Actually, there was a team mate from Baylor who visited this site back when RG3 was first drafted…we asked him what they called him on the field at Baylor since it was not RG3. He said they usually called him Bob.

brotha....and you know I respect the H out of your service.....I worked with Marines. above any other Service...they are about team - none of the other Services eevn come close except for subsets like SEALs. not any one individual. the Marines I worked with made it their mission for everyone to succeed. Corps first...individual last.

I'm really not trying to be a *dick* guys (I know, for some it's not about trying, it comes naturally), but painting Griffin as a 'victim' - it's a stretch. Even for die-hard fans. Loving Jesus doesn't make you Jesus :)

He's had a lot of opportunities to succeed, and the bar really, really wasn't set that high.

I'm not sure why we are so afraid of change coming off a 4-12 season.

Even Griffin's social media response tonight to the news was self-absorption masked in something else.

'Trusting in God even when I don't understand why certain things happen.'

It happened because you can't seem to win the job and stay on the field Robert. You don't need God to explain it bro. Sorry if that's harsh, but that's the damned truth guys.

I get the analogy, but as I mentioned in the other thread, an NFL appointed neurologist is the one who just said Griffin can't play - not the head coach or a team MD.

The details matter guys.

This isn't a Jay Gruden call, no matter how much some want to make it that.
 
I understand Boone but I bet you that Jay probably doesn't mind the outcome of the circumstances right now.
 
Oddly enough, I don't see this as move made by Gruden. I think Scott has seen enough of Robert, and want to know what we really have in Cousins so he can start researching for next years draft.

Yeah, I agree. And I even empathize with his likely viewpoint. Griffin is a mess. Anything that reduces the pressure to continue putting faith in him would be a relief. I can't blame Gruden if that were his response.

I don't know why this last minute call was made. It seems strange - I agree with you guys on that. But it WAS an NFL MD who made the assessment - so I still have to ask, where exactly is the evidence suggesting that Gruden, McCloughan, or anyone else on the Redskins staff somehow created this scenario?

Sometimes it really seems like there's people who have this image of Gruden, not unlike Dr Evil, where he is rubbing his hands together in satisfaction that his evil schemes are coming together, whenever RG3 suffers failure

The team doctor clears him, then an independent Dr. approved by the NFL and the players association has to clear him. Joey T was right. The team Dr. Cleared him. It wouldn't have gotten to the independent Dr. otherwise. No conspiracy possible. It's a ludicrous idea that an independent Dr. would sideline him at anyones request. I'm more concerned the team Dr. cleared him.

Boone is spot on. Regardless of the team situation, he's shown absolutely nothing. He's mopey on the field when something goes wrong. He's shown no improvement. He looks confused and 2 steps behind game speed. What he lacks you don't decide one day to learn. No one can seriously think he has the skills needed to be a starting QB after watching him on the field.. He does practice all week yet nothing seems to translate because he doesn't have the skill set. 2012 was about freak athleticism and a surprised NFL. I think he's emotionally weak and will never rise above the adversity as a result. The sooner he's gone the better. He's nothing more than a distraction at this point. I'd rather lose with one of the other guys then with him and all the crap that surrounds him.

Give the other young guy a chance to play. He's actually earned it.


Edit: The teams dysfunction is a factor in him not being remotely serviceable, but that means nothing. He sucks right now and we can't afford to move forward with him.
 
I dont know about anyone else, but I've called Bob Bob for three years now. I called him Bob even when he was playing awesome. I couldn't care less what some Giants player calls him. I've just always thought 'RG3' was a dumb nickname so I picked something else.

Anyway, regarding the debate over who's more screwed up between the team and ... Bob, does it really matter? Ultimately no. The bottom line is the team crapped the bed yet again and despite all the talk about 'its a new day' the Redskins cant even announce an injury properly without it turning into a ****storm.

From what I can see nothing ever changes with this team.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I'm not implying that at all.

I think Gruden is between a rock and a hard place with Griffin. The team spent alot to acquire Griffin and it's well known that the team wants it's investment to pay off.
The problem is, the investment can't seem to grasp the basic nuances of playing the Qb position as it relates to the WC Offense.

Meanwhile, you got two other guys that are more advanced at Qb play.

With pressure from the top, the rabid fanbase that wants Griffin to succeed and and the firestorm that is the media...no matter what move you make, you're gonna catch hell.

I don't believe Gruden wished injury on anyone. This just makes it easier to get a different Qb on the field,in a starter's role.
 
After reading some of the statements by this independent doctor, it appears he reversed his own initial clearance. That's the odd part. He reversed his own decision.
And for the record, doctors are not immune to being bought.

So then, not having the required information necessary, nor the authority to resolve whatever issue there might be, I will stay the course.

I think we can win with either of the 3 QB's currently on the roster. So....

All I want from the game tonight, is the same thing I said before this current situation came about.
1. No injuries.
2. 1st offense get a touchdown, or 2.
