Go Ravens! Go Falcons!

Then again, you know what they say...there are lies, damn lies, and then statistics.

Definitely. I hate statistics. But this one is pretty overwhelming.

Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Brett Favre, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning combined are 13-29 on the road in the playoffs. Pretty crappy. And those were some incredible teams, with even a few dynasties in there.

Flacco is 5-4.

Most of those guys all had home field advantage

Well when they didn't, they had 13 Wins and 29 Losses. Not very impressive, although it's hard to win on the road come playoff time.

This Aqib Talib has turned out to be a great gamble so far, and Boldin still has it.

Early Superbowl line....49ers are currently favored by 1 point over NE. That's if NE can hold on.

Really getting tired of all these lmae helmet-to-helmet calls when receivers lower their heads after a catch or when a receiver jumps and lands while you're aiming for the chest. These play are unavoidable unless you pull a Brady and lead with your feet. Why not try calling illegal contact beyond 5 yards or defense holding. Cheatriots have been pulling it all game.

Man, Flacco looked great there. This could be the biggest game of his career.

And then when Pitta is clearly hit with a helmet to helmet it is not called!

You guys are making me nauseous.

Wow that was brutal. Now that looked like a helmet-to-helmet hit.

Boldin is amazing. Should have been ours three years ago.

He lead with his helmet plain and simple. How does that go unflagged ?? And when the guy goes out cold and fumbles the ball you reward the team that commits a horrible foul with a turnover? Sorry - but that's just ridiculous. So much for player safety...

If this holds up, I won't even tune in for the Super Bowl - I hate the ravens and Jim Harbaugh. And I cant stand DC/MD/VA residents who cheer for Baltimore either.

Why John? I am from MD... Always Redskins' first, but I like the Ravens.

And the defenseless player rule does not apply to the running back running the ball.

Edit: Their fans are idiots though.

The defenseless player rule has nothing to do with it - you can't lead with the helmet. It's called a personal foul and that one was blatant. You can root for two teams if that's your thing. I have a friend who also has two teams. I don't get it but to each his own. As for me? Screw the Ravens!

You like a team from Cleveland then. Stop churching it up and acting like its a home team.

Bmore snuck out on Mayflower trucks long ago.

Mike stop. They are the Baltimore Ravens. If the fans in Cleveland or the government of Cleveland can't build a stadium and fill the seats, then it is smart business to go to a City that will build them a stadium and fill it every weekend.

Edit: They reside in a town that is 20 miles from my hometown and are in the AFC. If they were in the same Conference or division as our Skins, it would be different.

I grew up in NOVA until college, but have lived in Florida for the last 20 odd years. Understandably, I wouldn't feel any hate for the Ravens that DMV locals might.

Not trying to piss off any of my brothers here, but I respect what they did today in a very tough place to win. They were huge underdogs, and they have played a great game.

Now the Patriots I can hate. Cheating, running up scores, etc.

I agree with this. He was leading with the helmet. That was about as violent as they get. I hope Ridley is okay.

Sucks to see the thugs from Baltimore advance. Hope the 49ers beat the snot out of em.

Mostly just taking an opportunity to given buddy Brian hell :)

Hard to take anything away from the Ravens but I hate their fans. And I don't have a 'backup' team i root for. That's what this forum is for though so don't let a couple sour grapes ruin the fun.

I gotta laugh ... That sounds like a line from that 'Intervention' show ...

I'm not big on backup teams either.

But the Patriots? The cheating, run the score up Patriots?

The asshat fans who also have the Red Sox who have done pretty well in recent years?

I can't pull for them.

Now it gets tough. The Ravens or Carlos Rogers. Hmmmm. 49ers are favored by 5.
