Game Notes: Redskins at Eagles

I just think at 27-13 we called off the dogs and let the Eagles recoup some confidence to make it close.

We need to remember the comeback that Dallas had on Thanksgiving when prepping for next week.

Just wanted to point out that their attempted comeback was sparked by a tipped ball over the middle that they caught.

Up until that point there was no question in my mind the score was about to be 34-13, and completely over.

Fluky **** happens in divisional games. We can win playing next week like we did yesterday, but it's not the preferred way to play. Hopefully we'll bring our A game and stomp on the cowboys to continue this momentum into the playoffs.

This was by far the most we've seen Griffin remain in the pocket all year. I think it was good for him too. He was able to make some moves to avoid the rush where he merely stepped up or to the side. It will help develop that ability to not feel the need to scramble immediately. I saw in him what I see in the greats, the ability to avoid the rush without having to be extremely fast/athletic.

I was actually starting to become concerned that Griffin was developing into a 'if the first guy isn't open, run with it' type of quarterback. It just seemed like all too often he wasn't going through his progressions, but was instead opting to run the ball.

Yesterday he went through his progressions. He looked good doing it too. He didn't have a stellar performance stats wise, but he looked good enough. I'm no longer concerned.

My bottom line on yesterday is that it was a game that for the past 20 years we would typically lose.....and.......we didn't. I don't care how we won, nor by how much. Bottom line - we WON.

One more of those and we win the East. I'll take it.

Won't you?

We are all excited to experience the announcement of draft selections IN REAL TIME TOGETHER. If you feel the need to be the first to 'blurt out' the team's picks you are better off staying out of chat and sticking to Twitter. Please refrain from announcing/discussing our picks until the official announcement has been made at the podium. Thanks!
