Hail Game Day!
The last game for our heroes was a playoff elimination. What a change huh? Whether you watched it on TV or sat in the stands, it was awesome to see our Redskins back in the post season some 8 months ago. Tonight the darkness of the offseason lifts as Washington's favorite sons take the gridiron in the attempt to go beyond 16 meaningful games and once again join the elite in the playoff dance.
Game Day.
Man, does that have a sweet sound or what? Seriously.
Game day is a sacred occurrence, happening no more than a maximum of 25 times a year, assuming your team plays the HoF game to start the preseason and then closes out their season in the Super Bowl (having gotten there by way of a Wild Card game). Most fans will have to live with just 20 such high holy days a year and then they are back to awaiting Free Agency, the Draft, OTAs and finally, Training Camp.
Today colors are a bit brighter, food a bit taster, air cleaner and crisper, beer is...never mind, beer can't get better. Revel in the day for the days like it are few, my friends. They are dear and none of us know how many more we have left to us so celebrate it like it is your last.
The Owners and Staff of BGO would like to take a moment and mention options for sharing that revelry with your obsessed brothers and sisters of the B&G right here in our humble house.
As always, please remember What We're About here at BGO, regardless of which of these options you choose to avail yourselves of, and please temper all responses accordingly.
So wherever you are, sit back, put your feet up, crack open a cold one and enjoy the first of the few holy gridiron days of 2016. We certainly will be.
Hail!

- An official Game Day thread will be started by a BGO Staff Member in the Sons of Washington forum roughly an hour prior to kickoff.
- A thread with the Inactive Players for the game is usually started in the Sons of Washington forum as soon as that information is available.
- BGO Chat is up and running if you prefer something more real time. Please feel free to use it early and often. Join us by clicking on the 'Chatrooms' link at the bottom of any BGO page, and select the 'Fed Ex Field' chatroom. There is also a Mobile Chat option for you guys headed to the game so you can participate with us from the stadium if you wish. Boone suggests loading the ComChat app directly on your phone for this.
