So what I am getting out of the Boxscore so far is that while we have 3 guys labeled as Quarterbacks on the roster, we don't have a QB on the roster.

Same as it ever was, I guess.

I dont think competing was about this week... it's about the next 6 games. 2 vs Giants (0-4), 2 vs Cowboys (1-3) 1 vs Detroit (1-3), 1 vs Bengals (1-3)... and that's not including today where Bengals losing and Dallas plays NYG so one of those teams has to lose too.

No QB could've been successful today. Line was an absolute sieve. Kyle Allen actually played pretty well while it lasted. Steve Czaban commented that it was stupid put Alex in when Allen had been cleared to return. The outcome would've been the same, but I agree with him, it didn't make a lot of sense. I think Rivera has watched Rocky a few too many times.

I don't know how realistic it was to believe today was going to go well. However - I'll say this. Our defense had a few 2nd half moments but was largely awful today. There's too much talent on this D to play that poorly and I put most of that on Del Rio. I mentioned to ST that this is the worst Del Rio defense I've ever seen. And let's be realistic (to your point DP) - with this pathetic OL, we won't win more than another game or two, regardless of who the QB is. With the kind of pressure our QBs were under today, Haskins would have taken a dozen sacks, fumbled a couple of times, and thrown some picks as well. I honestly don't know how anyone could think this team is a potential playoff team - I don't care how godawful bad the NFC East is this year.

Stop what nonsense? You think he's going back to Dwayne? We have to play the games, whether we are 'trying to compete' or not. It's going to be ugly for awhile. Hopefully they have a clue how to rebuild this team. But we are absolutely going to have to have a new QB.
