Lets talk about the game!

I did not realize Jackson has been sacked that many times, but I guess a designed run tackled behind the line technically goes down as a sack?

One thing I didn’t see in the Arizona game was a spy. I’m sure he was there on certain plays, but too many times, Murray could just drop back, see the open lane, and run. Jackson is even better at that than Murray. They have to make that a top priority of the defense.

Looks like there's a chance I may get the game in lieu of the Steelers game. Our local CBS has our game listed but the Pittsburgh CBS doesn't have any listed as yet.]

Playing zone and keeping him in front of the defense is the best way to limit his chances, as he's not quite perfected in shredding defenses with just his arm yet. He beats the blitz very well. Although, if the game is in hand and he is forced to take the underneath, blitzing can be effective, as KC showed, but they have to get the lead first.

However, if they don't contain the run game, then Baltimore is basically has a gimmie for the Ravens.

McLaurin plays today.

I know I'm likely the odd man out, but I wish Ales Smith was active and getting rep during the week. No I haven't given up on Haskins, but if a change is made, I'd rather Smith.

This is the third season in a row we've been led to believe the defense would be the strong suit of the team. They have yet to live up to that or their promise. Other than the second half of the game against the Eagles, they have sucked.

What I expected to see was a pass rush so fierce, that it would open up things for our less than stellar secondary. With the loss of Ionnaidis and Young (hopefully just short term) that hasn't happened. Our secondary is truly struggling and we are not applying consistent pressure on the QB without those two. We've also missed Cole Holcomb out there, and imho Landon Collins is very overrated.

Looks like the hole is there but Gibson hesitates and cuts back... ultimately we scored but good for him to understand.

I feel like, generally speaking, our RBs are doing far too much 'dancing' vs. picking the best hole and driving it. I know that we don't have a great run-blocking line, but here's the thing.... the more time the RBs give it, I think the less chance there is that a hole is going to suddenly open. Hit the hole and stop hesitating.

Dan Orlovsky breaking down film, seems there were some definite WTF moments
