Hail mary time.

Who's the personal foul on??

How do we get the unsportmanlike when they have 30 players on the field!!!!!!!!!!!

What a mickey mouse end. good grief. Laughing stock material.

That is the worst coached game of football I have seen ...well...since last week!

Fred Davis - once again showing what a marquee player he is. That guy is just bad news - period.

So, that's three personal fouls in the last two weeks with under two minutes left in games by our team.

I'm seriously calling coaching into question after the debacle this week, as well as what transpired a week ago.

That ending is going to mar what was otherwise a pretty good officiated game. That was bizarre.

Anyone who can still say with a straight face that Haslett and this joke of a defense aren't costing us games isn't watching. We are averaging over 30 ppg and were 1-2? No excuse.

there's an excuse. it's poor personnel management.

you draft Griffin and sign Garcon, fine. you have Davis coming back along with Moss and Hankerson. you have some young backs.

now it's time to go out and get a veteran OT and veteran OG to bridge the 2012 season given the poor performances in 2011.

except that the Redskins continued to spend money on WR with a 2 year, $12M deal for Josh Morgan (who we don't need) and $3.4M on Brandon Meriweather who has already had off the field issues this summer and got drummed out of NE and Chicago.

and when veteran OT that could help was available, the front office refused to back-end ANY money to future cap years to make deals work and these players went elsewhere.

if you are going to give up three first round picks for Griffin the least you can do is present him with better at OT in Quarter 3 of today's game than Jordan Black and Tyler Polumbus.

Gomes looked like a bum today. Worst effort on safety blitzs I've ever seen. Looked like he was scared of getting the hit from the blockers. yeesh

but the OL performance was downright frightening when you look at how much the team has invested in Robert Griffin.

after Trent Williams went out early the Redskins simply didn't have ONE offensive lieman that Marvin Lewis and the Bengals feared at all.

These guys pinned their ears back and dominated the balance of the game.

Black was beaten like a rented mule, a couple of times he came up catching air when trying to block guys to the outside and Polumbus was only modestly better.

These were the guys the staff chose.

All five starters were here last season and played extensively.

Evidently, Shanahan saw something he liked about the unit.

I want to know what it is, because to me they are lousy. Period.

Anything the Redskins got on offense today was due to the defense's fear of Griffin, plain and simple.

Most of Morris' yards came off plays where the defense keyed on Griffin rollouts and options.

Running straight ahead in a traditional formation, this team got steam-rolled.

Ahhh...this seems like a good place to post some ..uh...interesting bits of info.

Every team that has beaten the New Orleans Saints, us, KC and the Panthers is at 1-2. Sorry about Bountygate yet down there, guys?

The Redskins are averaging 33 points per game through three games.

Our lowest scoring output so far has been against the Rams with 28.

If our lowest scoring output last season had been 28 we would have wound up at 11-5 in the regular season.

The Bad News:

We're averaging giving up the second highest number of passing yards by our opponents at 337.3 yards/game.

The Good News:

The team averaging giving up more passing yardage? Our next opponent, Tampa Bay-they're giving up 353.3 yards per game.

(Sorry, I gotta get this %#@! out of my system somehow.)

I agree Serv. The offense is doing a good job and has scored a lot of points. Not sure what is wrong with that when you look at the last few seasons.

It's the defense. Plain and simple. They are giving up nearly 34 pts. a game and that is horrible. Absolutely horrible. A mess. Give up ten less in each loss and that is still a lot, but we would be 3-0. We may not be fully loaded on defense, but it is not a bunch of bums either. Bottom line - it is the coaching and inability to adjust. The offense is fine.

One thing I can honestly say....after Orakpo was lost for the year, I was worried. But if Rob Jackson can play every game like he did today, I don't think I will worry like I was going to. Now if we could just lose Haslett for the season, we'd be making some real progress. And can we please make an effort to replace DeAngelo Hall this offseason? I'd really appreciate it.

BB, your first sentence got me curious so I dug into Pro football Reference just to see how many points te Redskins have given up in the first three games in recent years.

The results were interesting.

Year-points scored against the Redskins in 1st three games
2012-101
2011-53
2010-67
2009-49
2008-57
2007-49
2006-61
2005-37
2004-51
2003-68
2002-80
2001-112
2000-59
1999-82
1998-100

Prior to those the last season in which the Redskins opponents scored 100 or more points against the Redskins in the first three games was...

1968.

1951 and 1954 were the only other two seasons that has happened since 1940.
