As long as the restructuring exercise is limited in nature. We don't want to go back to 2005 and 2006 where we were restructuring deals for guys like Portis and Samuels every season to be able to assemble a roster.
 
Didn't Montgomery just sign that thing? Like only a couple weeks ago? Wow.

Very funny. So BB - if they sign him would it be as a starter (assuming he proves he's healthy) or as a back up swing tackle? Can he play on the right side or is he a left tackle only?

Looking at him for RT and to possibly be a starter. Can't release Brown - he would count too much against the cap. June release is possible. Still planning to draft a RT (he would be the hopeful starter).

We are at about $12 mil below the cap for now. Other players are willing to step forward and do favorable restructures.

If he starts, it probably won't be for very long. We'd be replacing an oft-injured Brown with a guy who has missed 17 games in the last 3 years due to injury. So we'd be right back where we started

So maybe between Bell and Brown's crumbling bodies, and maybe a 3rd guy, they can put together a full season, with about 5 starts each ?

Maybe since their bodies are so broken down, the league can make an exception, and let us play 2 RT's, and line up both Brown and Bell at the right end ?
 
Some of these guys with health issues play on turf all the time (Bell in KC). I have to think that's contributing and moving here to play and practice on grass will make a big difference. I'll never understand the whole turf in outdoor stadiums thing, that stuff is NASTY!
