Free Agency, Mock Drafts, Camps, Roster Predictions, 2018

Here is the list of 53 - also new thread started by Boone.

A move that can't be made until Monday. So another player will be added at that time.

Well, here we are.
That place we have longed for.
The place where we can pick up a valuable gem, from another team's final cuts, and the answer to our LG position.
And there he is...Josh LeRibeus

Somebody call @Win4us, so he can lift up and toast one of these...

it's about time the Redskins, a 7-9 team last year moved ahead with a roster overhaul to go younger and supplement some our good core players with rookies and first year players that are hungry and have some physical upside.

it was laughable to me that the past couple of years the club had 'almost all' of the roster spots nailed down before camp even started.

this was not the 13-3 Patriots we were talking about.

Kyle Smith and Doug Williams did a good job in the draft and in bringing in undrafted rookies after the end of the draft.

That is going to pay dividends. But the coaches needed to buy into the theory of keeping the best football players and not simply being so risk averse they only wanted to keep retread veterans.

Glad to see we bought out Terrell McClain, age 30/31 and admitted the mistake and moved on.

Glad to see we worked out Orlando Scandrick and decided that if at 31 he was at the level of some of the rookies now in terms of coverage ability then we should move forward with the younger players who can be developed.

Glad to see we decided to cut ties with Brian Quick, a 29 year old journeyman who hardly played last year despite all of the injuries at the wide receiver position.

Where we have no real prospects on the roster such as OG I think we need to bring in a veteran to supplement the depth, but I see that type of move as being near veteran minimum.

I hope Jeremy Sprinkle has really improved as a blocker at the point of attack because signing a veteran blocking tight end and keeping 4 at the position was something I would have otherwise considered given how compromised the lack of WR and TE blocking made our rushing attack in 2017.

FYI...

Kevin Hogan has been claimed by the Broncos.
Paxton Lynch has been released by the Broncos.

Davis Webb has been released by the Giants. I really think this is a player the Redskins should consider.
