Just seeing this post. Swam Point is one of my favorite courses in Maryland, it feels like you are in North Carolina. We used to go to a farm party down there and a buddy and I would play there every Memorial Day, did that for decades.

Played Sly Fox with the wifey today. This course is out in Front Royal and this is the wife's tee shot on the 16th par 3. She landed front right side and her ball was rolling in from right to left.
Thought for a second that she was buying the rounds for everyone.

Played Sly Fox last year. Enjoyed it. I always have loved Shenandoah Valley, Rock Harbor, and Blue Ridge Shadows.

I played Twin Lakes Oaks course yesterday. This course is in the Chantilly area.
This was my first time playing the Oak course which is very challenging. Every green was guarded by a frontside bunker. In my older age I play the OMG game (Old Man Golf) which is mostly 3/4 swing speeds, keeping it low, and in the fairways. This means that I like don't like having to fly my 175 yard approach shots over any bunkers.
The course shape was just OK. Too many bare spots and crabgrass.
