Final 53 Man Roster for 2012

Agreed. I commented last week that the usual praise you see for top picks from coaches, ie they are still learning but show the talent, etc. - you didn't see this for Josh.

In fact Josh seemed lost in camp, he was a half-step slow and was definitely behind Gettis in transitioning to the speed of the NFL game.

Let's face it, with Will Montgomery the incumbent starter (check out his shotgun snaps!) at center I was hoping that LeRibeus was going to come in here and really give him a run for his money as a rookie. Instead there was no competition.

Yes, that is troubling as I see Montgomery as very average.

Poor Worthington. He like Brandyn Thompson keeps getting very close to being on the active roster earning a spot and then he is back to being on the outside looking in.

Washington WILL have a spot open IMO heading into 2013. Golston made the team this year but at age 29 and at only 290 on the outside I see an opportunity for at least one younger vet to make it at DE.

Perhaps Worthington will be that player just as Aldrick Robinson was in 2012 after having been stashed on the PS for a season.

Players signed to the practice squad.

Doug Worthington
Tom Compton

OK, my paranoia set in. I kinda thought some of the hysteria was directed at me.
...though I can't say in the past that I haven't been guilty of unrealistic expectations.

I swear I don't know why but the Raiders have a woody for Redskins players.

Oakland has consistently jumped on players the Redskins have released. Stephon Heyer, Rock Cartwright, the trade for Jason Campbell, etc.

I wonder if the genius Trask led Raiders are now looking at Tim Hightower or Anthony Armstrong?

They are still trying to make up for getting fleeced by the Skins in the Lachey deal. :)

Any word yet on the 53rd player?

I suppose it's even possible that Cooley might come back at a reduced price.

Sounds like he's #53 to me. Correct me if I'm wrong peeps.

Players signed to the practice squad.

Doug Worthington, DE
Tom Compton, OT
Emmanuel Arceneaux, WR

Miami has released Slaton. Armstrong is talking with the Dolphins now.

Shanny just said our new CB is on the 53.

That probably ends Slaton's chances in DC.

Who are we dropping for Slaton? I just don't see it. We're stocked at RB.
