Draft Day Tailgate

That's the other way I was thinking of going with it. I had just assumed I'd create the account and then hand it over to the owners of the site post tailgate, to do with it as they please.

I personally don't care what software service we use. I'm leaning towards Skype at this point just because I think it involves the least amount of hassle....

I agree. Enjoy the tailgate and have a fantastic time. This is your first DDP and it should not be devoted to potential headaches like you find at work. Just have fun and share the experiences here in the forum later that evening or the next day.

The onus is on Pez. He made the suggestions earlier and if he can't deliver, then so be it. It's not the end of the world if we don't have a live feed.

It takes a lot of time with the pig. He might know a good way to set it up but cooking that pig is a lot of work. Constantly watching temps time and coals. He sometimes forgets that aspect but I don't since I get dragged in to help. We are also bringing my folks to help. Cooking the wings is nothing compared to watching that pig. :)

We are working on something though (not sure if they can do it yet so I don't want to toss it out there) where people can hear part of whats going on. :)
 
Huly, y'all do so much above and beyond anything anyone else would ever do, don't even worry about it. THE Mr. & Mrs. Redskin Fan, as far as I'm concerned. :)

Good things come to those that wait :) I just confirmed that Son of Washington will be having and airing a LIVE Podcast from the DDP Tailgate! So for those who can not make it you can hear what is going on tailgate, draft, and our feature band Sons of Radio.
 
SOW also mentioned he may be able to get a few redskins as well

IF anyone wants to coordinate a video feed, it you may want to reach out to son of washington.

hey...I submitted a request for the pass into FEDEX through the link Boone posted. Received something in e-mail but it doesn't have anything related to FEXEX draft day printed on it. anyone else know what we are supposed to receive? I also submitted for myself and my daughter yet there is nothing like "good for two" printed on what got

Don't know if this was the link or not, but go here fill out the info and print as many passes as you need. I printed 20 just for some extras. Not even sure I'll go in.

Don't think I have made it in the stadium the past 4-5 years with all the festivities at the tailgate... LOL

Pretty funny when people are watching the tailgate and the band rocking from the upperdeck of the stadium.

The amount of folks we get from the stadium is crazy.

I have a couple of our possible draft picks lined up to join us, and Ray is working on some of our current players.

Not sure about the video feed. Only thing I can think of so far is having a webcam hooked up on either the crowd or us as we talk, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to do all of that.

We're looking at other options as well.
 
A video feed would be EPIC but for those of us in the land of "Far Far Away", we'll take what we can get. :)

Do you have a proposed time frame of any sort? I was going to get a Web cam going but due to battery life I was going to target it for a specific time... If we can make it work I'd love to but I certainly understand how difficult that may be.
 
Isn't the draft day festivities a few years ago where that idiot thing in a turd's jersey was all running her mouth to everyone? If so ya'll should bring some eggs for standby purposes.

As far as the pig goes are you guys mostly serving up slices, pulled pork sandwiches, or other?

LOL! Yes...I think remember that douche fan. That was a few years back, when we actually still went inside. We saw her on the club level and she was bent out of shape and wondering why people were giving her a hard time. Really? Wearing a Dallass jersey at FedEx field and strutting around talking ****? I guess there's one in every crowd.

As far as the pig goes, almost all of it is pulled and put into aluminum warming trays and it's served up buffet style. If you want sandwiches, there will be rolls, condiments, etc. I might even make a batch of my world-famous, (at least in my mind), Carolina vinegar sauce.

Looks like we're going to do an hour show, or somewhere within that time frame. I know it'll be after the press conference introducing the players because we'll be in that. Last year that was around 1:30pm. Assuming they have both draft picks there (2nd and 3rd), and perhaps RGIII talking, it could be a fairly long press conference.

I believe they had Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly at the same one in 2009? So that's just a guess on my part that both the 2nd and 3rd will both be there, as is RGIII. It might just be the 2nd rounder and that's it, which would mean we could get to the lot sooner

We'll see what happens. Right now I'm thinking around 3ish, but I really couldn't tell you. I'll text Huly periodically.

Oh man that sounds delicious. May have to make a deal with someone going. I'll send some halibut that way for some tailgate style pulled pork in exchange.

Do you add items to make your batch spicy?
