Sandra Lynn Zier-Teitler

'Docsandy'
Sandy joined BGO within a month of our opening, on 2 August, 2009. She was a wonderful addition to our community, an active member for over a decade, and a huge part of our countless game day chats who could always be counted on to bring a positive and hopeful outlook no matter how gloomy and dire the Redskins prospects might look. Sandy was a generous and kind spirit who loved this community, and even during a period where she faced significant health issues (and no doubt financial stress), insisted on supporting the site with donations).
But by far, Sandy's biggest contributions simply came from sharing herself with all of us.
For those of us who knew Sandy outside of the community, you quickly learned what was most important to her. She loved her family. She loved and adored her husband Bruce who sadly preceded her in death. She was passionate about her animals. She was crazy about all things 'Star Trek' and in fact had been a devoted Trekkie convention attendee and had even forged a personal friendship with DeForest Kelley. And of course, along with husband Bruce she loved her Burgundy and Gold. Sandy was an old school fan who frequently shared tales of her participation in the glory days where Super Bowls were earned and won. One of my favorite Sandy posts was her Doc's Blast from the Past thread. You may find all of Docsandy's previous threads HERE.
Rest in peace Sandy. You will be greatly missed.
