Not a huge fan of the trajectory of Penix. Maybe that’s not on him. This feels like a very nostalgia based hire. But we’ll see.

Doesn’t really help Blough out with experience, though.

Either Quinn has been told they can lose every game by 30 and he’s safe or he has brass balls.

But I do think the offensive staff may be shaping up to be a “well, we don’t have any other choice… at least he’s young and has room to grow!”

It’s all good. Williams has the unique opportunity to be tutored by a guy with less QB coach experience than he has.

Not that fan reaction is anything to die by, but falcons fans on reddit response to his being interviewed yesterday were “good luck Jayden, lmfao” and what did he even do here, who?, etc.

There is another possibility as to why they’d pass on McDaniel… and it’s fairly obvious…

I wouldn't go this far either. They made this decision way too quickly to think this. Keim reported the Detroit interest was very real. Likewise, a lot of people outside the organization have raved about Blough. The only real concern, and it is significant, is his lack of experience.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled about the hire, but I don't think it was a "fuck if, let's just give him the job!" Zorn-ian level move.

Remains to be seen. I am not a fan of Quinn and Peter’s decisions so far and not a single one has landed as a positive so far in my eyes. But the offseason is young.

Yep, posted the same thing yesterday when the interview was reported. Hoped we were just doing Doug a favor, definitely would think that Cousins ran that QB room, it’s logical.

Also possible that a more proven, veteran QB coach doesn’t want to hitch their wagon to a young 1st time playcaller on a team that just fired their coordinators.

So, I know whenever I get home, it doesn’t matter how I play, she’s always gonna be there for me…But, as far as, you know, as far as like physically the on the field stuff, it’s not nobody that I’ll talk to like as far as another quarterback or anything like that, you know, I do have, people reach out to me. I do have a quarterback coach, though, back at home, that reach out to me as well, you know, tell me, ‘hey, like you need to clean this up, clean that up.’”
