What a deal breaker that would be. Thank goodness we have risen from that encumberment.
 
San Fran’s DC job being open isn’t great for us. That’s a job that is going to be filled with a quality candidate. Especially with Bosa coming back and rumors that they are going to add the other Bosa.

But it sucks for us too, like KDawg just said--that's a very attractive position.

He was always available for a DC promotion, Keim mentioned that if they were interested in Harris they would’ve already scheduled an interview.

I thought maybe he told them to wait, some do, but hadn’t heard the Keim line. Interesting because they were denied access to him in DQ 1.0 staffing.

I also think if AP and DQ talk much on strategy… SF seems to have gotten a ton of compensatory picks. Unemotionally, that is a value if the person has a good chance of success in your eyes. I would be lying if I didn’t assume that could be part of their calculations.

Interesting, hadn’t caught the Keim line on it.
 
For some reason, I can't see Pittsburgh hiring Flores. His reputation is that he is contentious and difficult to work with. Given that the Rooney's hate firing coaches I can't see them wanting to get in bed with him. Mind you, I think that might be exactly what we need for a DC.

Quinn is a players' coach. I find if you have a "nice guy" players coach you need someone on the team to take on the disciplinarian "bad cop" role. "Bad cop" may not be exactly the right term, but I think you know what I mean.

I think Flores is perfect for Pittsburgh. I also think he deserves a second shot with a legitimate organization.

I am curious what/who we're waiting for on the DC side--we haven't even interviewed Mehrris, which is interesting. Just a hunch, but I could see Karl Scott with Quinn calling the plays initially.

My thoughts as well. Rooney likes strict coaches but Flores is more...I guess contentious works...along with his lawsuit just doesn't feel like a Pittsburgh guy
 
Benjamin Allbright, who is pretty plugged in, thinks Chris Shula is the frontrunner for the Steelers job.

Baltimore I can't see hiring a defensive-minded HC. Buffalo idk. The other vacancies aren't worth it for a second stint as a HC IMO (Cardinals, Browns, Raiders)

I really think Mike McDaniel is going to Baltimore. I do not see him being an OC next year.

Yep Amy Adams Strunk is the same moron who decided to fire Vrabel to keep Ran Carthon as her GM, only to fire him a year later

I like Baltimore as a landing spot for McDaniel. Lamar seems like a strong enough leader with enough command over the locker room that McDaniel doesn't need to be a Vrabel/Campbell-style culture-setter. He can simply try to X's-and-O's his way to a SB with Lamar and Henry and co.
