9:38 left in the 3rd quarter, replay currently running on NFL Network.

I got to go to one game last year. This was it. It was an up and down game, but mostly up. Daniels accuracy was off because of the rib injury yet we led most of the game. Then Chicago almost steals it with under a minute to play. After that, Daniels broke their season.

I’ve never been part of that kind of football joy. It was 1 vs 2. It was the legacy of so many 4th quarter let downs versus something new. It was a miracle finally being on our side.

I have a library of good Commanders games from last year. Cincy, where it all began for Jayden, and the Detroit game are my favorites. I avoided going back to this one because I remembered it was kind of a boring game until the end and we've all seen the Hail Mary dozens of times.

What struck me was the crowd was really dead and very quiet. It will be interesting to hear the crowd as the winning continued and I compare it to those home crowds. I remembered being very frustrated at the end before the final drive because the Commanders should have won that game. What I didn't remember is just how they dominated for the entire game. But penalties took away a number of big plays and the Bears were dead in the water until Swift's long TD run put them right back in the game. This is exactly why we need an upgrade from B Rob.

I don’t remember the crowd being dead what I remember is how many Bears fan were on n attendance. I’d guess 30% at least.

Maybe it sounded /felt differently on TV.

One thing 2024 may have done is make it harder for opposing fans to get tickets

As I watch every game on TV this one was noticible for the lack of crowd noise on 3rd and long for instance. Lots of Bears fans for sure but the Washington fans were subdued. It was mid-season, honestly I think the PTSD and apathy have not completely worn off at that point in time.

All I know was me and my friends were loud :)

There are a couple of games as a fan you will never forget where you were. This was one of them for me.

I was TDY for training in VA.. Hadn't seen my wife and kids home in AR in months and was missing them terribly.

I was in my room by myself, and and I absolutely lost it. My whole floor heard me. The floor below heard me. The floor above heard me. I thought for sure I would get visit from 1SG on Monday. But everyone in the Company group chat agreed my exuberance was warranted.

I hadn't lost it like that since the Monday Night Miracle two decades ago when I was running around my apartment complex in law school (in Cowboys Country) screaming like a banshee.
