The Commanders announced the previously reported signing of linebacker Boogie Basham on Tuesday morning and they also made a number of other roster moves.
They have released safeties Will Harris and Malik Spencer while also placing linebacker Drake Jackson on injured reserve. They signed safeties Joshuah Bledsoe and Quindell Johnson to round out the transactions.
Harris started all nine games he played for the Commanders last season and finished the year with 38 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Jackson, who was a 2022 second-round pick by the 49ers, played in three games for Washington.
Bledsoe played for the Patriots for two seasons after being drafted in the sixth round in 2021. Johnson went undrafted earlier this year.
