Commanders News (Social Media)

Welp. We're fucked.

I wonder if it's possible to appeal a ref assignment. Probably not a good idea as the refs are probably an old boy's club and all stick to us thereafter, but come on.

I’m still mad that Hochuli basically admitted that he knew during the game the linesman messed up and did nothing about it. How Hochuli got a playoff game after such a royal screw up is beyond me. But I’m hoping that linesman that doesn’t know the basic rules of football is not working the game. They do put sort of all star crews together for the playoffs.

He’s Ed’s son. Who is probably the most famous Ref since Red Cashion.

It’s a fraternity. They probably said “there’s nothing he could do about it.”

This sums up JD pretty well

Pin this somewhere

"A full ass grown man coming to wreck your world. A first Grade A destroyer of your season."

Damn I enjoyed listening to Newmark when he spoke to the media; figured he’d get a top gig eventually but didn’t think he’d be one and done. At least he’s headed to the AFC!

It’s been 28 years. Good for him.

Ah, boo. Probably a bad career move going to the Jets, but same could have been said of the Lions and ‘skins.

Newmark really did his time, grinded his teeth for many a season when the Lions were the doormat of the NFL… spent all those season and then saw the fruit his last season there with going to the NFC Championship game…. Then jumped into the fire that was our organization this season as the Assistant GM only to see us going to the NFC Championship game…. These are the stories that you like to hear, specially when it’s 1 of your own (even though he’s only been here for not even a full year). I hope it works out for him up in NY and with Woody Johnson who maybe outside of the Haslans with the Browns took over as the worse owner in the NFL since “you know who” sold to Josh Harris and Co.

I am mildly curious as to why teams are allowed to actually hire away employees of teams in the playoffs.

I don't agree with it but I get the interview part, these coaches need to have the same chance as coaches who are eliminated from the playoffs and although I think they should move the entire process to after the superbowl, the offseason is plenty long enough to accommodate this i still see why under current rules coaches are allowed to interview with certain rules applying.

What i don't get is why office personnel can actually leave for their new jobs, does newmark not have any responsibilities that apply to our conference championship game and possible superbowl appearance?
just feels weird having guys leave while we're so close to the pinnacle, doesn't feel right for the team and also for newmark, if we win the superbowl does he get to celebrate with us and join the parade?

All of this stuff should wait until after the superbowl.

Chris beat me. My mom's surgeon needs to work faster ;)
