That is a lot of hope for what Lattimore will/should/could eventually bring, but so far? Not that much to be honest.

We’ve won a bunch of games with BSJ already this season, and Penix at QB scares me less than Curt, who can get hot, and throw darts, and would also read defenses better, IMO. If BSJ could ever clean up his catch point defending, he could be a serviceable corner. He is, generally, solid in coverage, but then makes head scratching mistakes when it looks like he should easily knock the ball away.

IMO, game will be won or lost based on how our offense attacks the Dirty Bird’s defense. They have been poor against the pass, so if JD can get some time, should be able to shred them. Rain may play an equalizer. It’s been just pouring down all morning here in the Low Country. Guessing it’s heading that way.

He obliviously got the guy’s nickname wrong for two months. He’s aware he’s a near middle-aged white dude coaching in a league full of younger players who would expect him to make such corny mistakes, many of whom aren’t white. He’s being self-deprecating. It’s essentially a dad joke born of self-awareness and comfort around his players. In my experience it’s a very common and relatable type of comment/brand of humor but it depends on the demographics of your place of work. This is actually one of the more likable public Kliff moments since he’s been here lol, I’m satisfied with his work so far but I gotta say he’s pretty punchable as a public figure lol. He showed a bit of his human side here and a glimpse of why players like him imo

Seems like something pretty much anyone would do.
