Do you hit a cliff or fall off a cliff?
It was a tough choice for the descriptive options. Fall off a cliff is, of course, the correct one but Kliff never fell off a cliff. But he was accused of reaching one. I rolled with EB hitting a cliff (the bottom) because that’s as high as he got. 😉

I guess EB’s downfall wasn’t just a Rivera-Snyder effect. Makes me wonder again about Howell. Hopes he get another chance.

D-tackles interview. First up, Newton. And then Chris Baker! I forgot he had a stroke - it got emotional. Good to see former players continue to reconnect.

Interesting that Andy Reid did not bring him back to KC when he was fired in Washington.

Usually the 'old boy' network works to provide a safety net when coordinators or head coaches get fired.

Remember how even after a 3 win season Jay Gruden was able to get the OC job in Jacksonville within a few weeks of being let go?

The fact NO ONE in the NFL was willing to stand up for Bieniemy says a lot about him and his personality.
Also says a lot about Rivera getting conned into taking Bienemy off Reid's hands also.

It was always obvious that Bienemy was not any good. Reid didn't want him there and that's the only reason he was available at all.

Good for this team though since it got them the number 2 pick.

This team reminds me of nothing of the 1991 team.

One of the best teams ever put together.
Absolutely has to be in the argument of best team of all time. Lost to the Cowgirls (of course) by 3, and Philly, in last game of season, where most starters got rested, by 2 points. Would have won that game if Barry Wilburn (iirc) recovers a fumble deep in Philly territory late in the game.

Walked the playoffs, then blew out Bills in Minnesota to win the bowl. Oh yeah, I was there. Wish it was in Miami, or San Diego…Minneapolis is f**king COLD in January.

Cold or not, I'm envious of you getting to be part of that game! As amazing as it was from the couch, I can't imagine what it would be like feeling it. Every moment of that season was a celebration (with the asterisks excepted).

Yeah, was an awesome season, and awesome trip. My best friend, who still has the ball he caught from Chip Lohmiller’s short FG in the NFC Championship game and got signed the next summer when we went up to Carlisle, and I were prepared to drive to Minneapolis. But, since I gave him one of my two tickets, his father paid our way on a chartered jet and hotel. Our other buddy, who had moved to Chicago a year earlier, drove over, and the three of us had a blast. If we ever get together, I’ll be happy to regale you with the stories over a beer.

The two games we lost weren’t as fun.

Yeah, the only game the Redskins really lost that year was to dallas when they played them the second time. ☹️

Washington was beating the eagles 19-7 in the final game of the season when Gibbs pulled most of the startes, particularly on offense.

That allowed the eagles to creep back into it.
