Chase Roullier signed to contract extension

Excellent news!

Stability and improvement along the offensive line, in my opinion, is the single most important factor in setting up whoever our QB is next season and beyond for success.

Glad to see we seemingly aren't turning a blind eye to the offensive line with what appear to be some pressing needs at QB and WR on the horizon.

Like this a lot .. It all starts in the middle. Chase has played well and is always available on Sunday(y)

isn't he ranked as a top 3 center in the league?

Great signing.

It's always a good move to lock up a player that is just coming into his athletic prime at the position he plays. Centers can play a long time in the NFL and Chase has hopefully a long career ahead of him. The fact he was obtained with just a #6 pick is commendable to Smith and the others.

He’s turning into one of the best centers in the game. Smart move

I have been surprised by the offensive line this season. I have liked Chase for awhile now but we are getting quality play from multiple guys I didn't expect. LT hasn't been the scary weakness I expected.

Did they get assurances from him in writing that from now on, he's going to actually hike the ball to the QBs hands instead of his hips, knees, and shoulders? :)

He's young, smart and durable.

Attributes we need to find for a number of the other line positions.

Saahdiq Charles looked like he could be part of the answer at OT but he could never get on the field in 2020.

The NFL is about a lot more than physical talent. There are a lot of guys that just don't have bodies that can hold up to the pounding consistently even though they are monsters when healthy - see Jordan Reed here.

Guys like Rouillier, Chase Young, Montez Sweat. These guys show up each week to play and can be counted on to perform without excuses.

Other guys like McLaurin and Logan Thomas appear to be players that can gut out injuries and still get on the field and make critical plays.

That's a quality that is invaluable over a 16 game season. It was always amazing how Gary Clark and guys like Dave Butz seemed to be able to play through any injuries and still make a difference.
