Damn, between Keith Marshall's IR move, Matt Jones' and Chris Thompson's injury history, and Mack Brown's multiple good performances, I'd thought Brown had him a spot.

Wait, does this mean Kelsey Young and Joe Kerridge both made it above Brown ?

Yeah, I did too. Even allowing for the almost annual love affair we end up having with a previously obscure back ... who never seem to amount to much elsewhere. I'd like to think he'll clear waivers, but I'd not bet on it. We'll see.

The one negative for me so far in the offseason has been the lack of attention to the DL.

Not only did we not sign a name free agent or draft anyone high in the 'year of the DL' as 2016 was called, but the guy we did choose to be that mid-rounder that came in and made a difference - Matt Ioannidis - didn't even look as if he is going to be an NFL player down the road.

If he could not make the roster in a year where his competition was 33 year old Kedric Golston and guys like Kendall Reyes who were among the lowest rated DL in the league in 2015 by metrics, he's going to be nowhere to be found when the talent/compete level goes up.
