Burner's Burning Questions: Free Agency, The Mock Drafts, 2015 (Continual Updates)

Crabtree got punked.

His will is broken and he knows it. He will be nothing more than a #2 or 3 maybe if he's lucky.

What does that even mean? So now he's gone from being someone's 'bitch' to a #2, or #3, as if being a #2 or #3 WR on an NFL club is failure. I'm not saying the numbers tell an entire story, but the numbers without a doubt say he's a damn good WR.

Not trying to be antagonistic, but it just seems like his past performance warrants a little more respect than you're giving him Mike.

Why? Because he put up great numbers on great teams? So did Timmy smith.

I get you don't like my posts and that's cool...but I'm not wrong here at all. Sherman made him his bitch that game, broke him, and then he's never been able to recover.

Stop personaluzing it. I disagree and I've given numbers justifying my position. You don't have to agree, obviously, but at least I'm arguing facts.

Bottom line, we're talking about a free agent visit, so I will agree it's not worth arguing about :)

You took it personal...I meant you didn't like my posts as my stance on them.

His numbers went from 1105 to 698 after the Sherman incident. It's not a coincidence.

Okay. My bad if I misread your post. Here's the thing - if he weren't wracking up 700 yards and 50+ catches in his 'off years', I'd see the point. But basically that's taking his best year and saying 'he doesn't always have his best year'. The Timmy Smith comment is way off. Timmy Smith had a handful of great games. Crabtree has had a bunch of good seasons, save the one he was hurt in.

On great teams. Teams with gore, davis, boldin, kraperneck, a defense from hell, and a head coach who got them to 2 nfcc and a super bowl.

I'm not sold nor have I ever been on him as a stud wr.

No bad...I can see how you thought that. I'm your brother though...you can question me anytime

No problem, I made a drive by read and posted - it's my bad.

But couldn't you say that about tons of players. I'm not saying he's not 'soft' to the extent you are arguing, but that doesn't negate his skills in other areas. I suspect it will be a moot point because I do think he believes he's a tier 1 WR and wants that level of compensation when he's clearly a tier 2.

I do say it about a lot of players...lol

Cheers

Any word on McLuv's being in attendance at some of these pro days?

Signing Johnson today is absolutely critical.

We have neither a starting SS or FS on the roster, and pickings are incredibly slim in the draft.

Johnson plays SS. Collins from Alabama projects as a SS.

We still won't have a FS.....but this is crucial.

It feels like Jeron Johnson has been visiting Redskins Park since week 17.

No telling who may be released though.

Dashon Golson could be a target when he is released by Tampa. They are trying to trade him but his cap number is impossibly large for anyone to take on.

Since Antrel Rolle was in the mix talking to the Redskins before signing with Chicago, evidently we are willing to consider vets 30 and older at safety.

2Y/$4M for your new starting SS and core teamer.

I'm no fan of the 30 year olds, but in this specific case, I don't see any alternatives.

Golson was great.....but then looked awful his last two seasons.

May have to bring BW back for one season.
