My point being that every GM on the planet says the same things about character, etc..., and every one of them has been wrong a time or two. Knuckleheads slip through all the time. Mr McCloo doesn't change the fact that Culliver has had a less than desirable off field performance in his past. Of course we all hope he's moved beyond all that. I just don't bestow the ability to predict his future, off the field, to McCloo or anybody else. He's a convicted asshole who bears keeping an eye on.We have different takes, then. I think it's absolutely about trusting a GM to bring guys in he believes are solid enough character guys to fit into a functional, cohesive locker room. In our case, we have a GM who has spoken repeatedly about the importance of having the right guys in that locker room. Which goes back to my initial point--in the past, with the brain trusts we've had here for so long, a guy with Culliver's history would probably have made me uncomfortable. Today, given what I've seen and think I know to be McLuvin's requirements, I'm much more at peace with it. Rightly or wrongly.
Your other point, about "holding him responsible," is another conversation. But for the record, I won't hold him any more responsible for whether or not Culliver works out here than any other player we bring in. Not now that he's clearly done his due diligence on the character part.
?????I don't get it Big Dan??????Are you joking?
I guess we really are going to focus on offense in the draft.

DL is now...
Ricky Jean Francois
Jason Hatcher
Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton
Stephen Paea
Chris Baker
Frank Kearse
Kedric Golston
and a few odd balls.
Methinks you and I are talking in circles, brother. Which is fine. The tops of beer mugs are circular. My point being that every GM on the planet says the same things about character, etc..., and every one of them has been wrong a time or two. Someone brought beer? Which way to the keg?
Love the Culliver signing, exactly what the doctor ordered. If Scotty signs Cox, then maybe we say goodbye to Hall?
Heard on NFL Radio yesterday morning that some agents were miffed because the Skins weren't players anymore on the first day or two of free agency.....guess it sucked to lose their leveraging tool?
Sure is great to know we have an adult in charge of personnel.![]()
If he's healthy, I'd rather keep Hall and see if we could find someone to give us something for Toast Amerson.Someone brought beer? Which way to the keg?
