Burner's Burning Questions: 2014 Season Predictions

Surprised at the low expectations considering most seemed to think hiring Gruden was the correct decision.

I'm not going to base my prediction on what I think of the coaching change because i expect any coach to win according to what they have and we've got a pretty damned good team. With this roster, even before landing Desean Jackson and the draft, I believed we should be a 10 win team and Shanahan was fired because the team should have built off that playoff season but tanked worse than the 2006 Redskins. If RG3 is even 1/2 as prepared as he thinks he is then we should see 10 or more wins. This season is all on him, or Cousins if RG3 goes down.

To me, if 2/3's of the fans are complaining about the OL and the defense then RG3 is probably just not what we thought we were getting with those 3 first rounders or Gruden isn't all that flexible in designing an offense considering all the playmakers we will have on the field.

I wouldn't necessarily call them low expectations...I've reserved judgment on Gruden and the coaching staff. There are a lot of uncertainty with the Oline, Our Db's and behind center...Is Griffin the guy? I hope so...If not when does Cousin get a chance? I'm hopeful that we can win the division but that can't happen if the defense and special teams play like last year.
I'm at 10-6 and won't get to high or low by the outcome of the first couple of games.

Exactly. We have loads of talent. It's just a matter of taking advantage of it.

I am not changing my pre-season prediction because of yesterday's game, I still think 7-9.
