I am a 51 year old Scot, (born bred and still living in the land of Haggis, Whiskey and Shortbread) I live in a wee place just outside the City of Glasgow (which interestingly has links to Virginia).

Trying to play six degrees of separation here... Mary, Queen of Scots being cousin to Elizabeth 1, aka "The Virgin Queen" and namesake of Virginia... ?

There was a group of Merchants who brought wealth to Glasgow who were called the Tobacco Lords, they brought tobacco from their Virginian plantations to Glasgow

We will not talk about what their ships took from Africa to the Americas.
