Blognostications: 2012 - Week 5 v Atlanta Falcons

I like it. Especially the part about Morris. :D

Well written, well done Extreme. Good job.

Just one thing, however, you may find the upcoming Redskins Recon-hopefully posted in a few hours more or less-to hold a surprise or two. :)

Short and succinct! My favorite reads... Good job Ex. I like the enthusiasm, but I am afraid we stand little chance against the passing attack the Falcons have. Looks like giving the farm for that one player in Julius Jones may be that piece of the puzzle that could get that team over the hump. They are the best team in the NFC right now. It will take a complete reversal of fortune on the defensive side of the ball if we hope to hold them to under 30 points. Last week, I really thought we could get it done for 4 quarters against an average offense at best. I hope you're right!

It sounded like you were channeling Churchill in the last paragraph. Nice work.

I have the same feeling about this game as I did about the Saints game - both sides will score a lot, but the Falcons will outpace us in that department and win by a TD or two. The Redskins were able to surprise me against the Saints - maybe they'll do the same this week!

Remember, the Falcons have only ever won one game in DC.

...or someone.

I was thinking something more along the lines of this. :)

Well, yeah. But you're nicer than me.

I vote that Extreme give the team a pep talk!

It'd be better than what Jim Haslett says to his unit....

Anything would be better than what Hasbeen has to say.

On a side note, at a sales conference years ago with several big names in the industry there, I was hyping my sales team in the conference room and Zig Ziglar told me I should be a motivational speaker :D

Yeah, I'm a nerd, but anyone here who knows who he is knows what a huge compliment that is.

Honestly it's pretty hard to predict a Skins victory based on the results in 4 weeks. the Falcons defense has a weakness evidently against the run. I don't usually put a whole lot into stats and trends this early in the season.
The pass defense from the Skins...pfft. horrible. On paper the Falcons should win this fairly easy. It's not like we can pin our hopes on homefield advantage. The Skins have lost how many consecutive home games?
That being said I'm all in with Rg3 and Morris and will predict a Skins win 27-24.

I would love to see this prediction come true. I would also love to take that home record and lose the losing streak. Great job Extreme.
