BGO NFL Pickem: Week 7 Results

In Week 7, it was Neophyte alone at the top with 13 wins. A gaggle of players were right behind him with 12 wins, including Canadian Hog, DixieFlatline, Fun Bunch, IronMike, and RobinTom.

On the season, Fun Bunch holds a narrow lead with 76 wins, followed by RobinTom with 74, and DixieFlatline, IronMike, and Neophyte all with 71.

I wish we could not see the % picked column.

I was going to pick the Rams over Vikings until I saw that everyone else had picked the Vikings, so I followed suit. My thought was that since I'm in first place overall, I would not get hurt in the final standings by changing my pick to the Vikings, so I did.

If it's a big code change to hide that column then forget about it, but if it's a minor change to hide that column then I would suggest that change.

Hey Fun Bunch (and all Pickem players) - I was going to post a poll on your suggestion, but after looking at the software (the Pickem software isn't something I coded, it is a 3rd party add on), there is no option to turn off or hide the pick distribution. A non-tech solution would be to write down your picks for the week, and then open up Pickem to enter your selections.

It's all cool. I'm a retired IT guy so I can appreciate not wanting to break it.

Writing down my picks beforehand was not the problem. The problem was that since I am the overall leader I went with the flow on that one game knowing it would not hurt me in the long run.

It's a long season. Ultimately those kinds of things aren't going to make much of a difference. He who picks the most wins, wins. Often times it is the guy who is best able to predict upsets along the way who takes the prize.
