BGO NFL Pickem Contest - 2013 Edition!

A weekly recap is posted during the regular season. :)
 
I'm going to encourage everyone to make picks and play the last few preseason games even though they don't count in terms of the contest just so everyone gets familiar with the software and we'll post results as well.
 
Just made my first two weeks of regular season picks so I dont forget. Interesting that 100% of the home teams were favorites for week 2.

Last call for those who want to play but still have not signed up for this years NFL Pickem contest! Let me know by the end of the day on Wednesday if you haven't yet.

And don't forget to make the first week's picks before the start of Thursdays game!
 
Who won the Pre-season and when do I get my t-shirt? ;) :laugh:

We post detailed results each week for that weeks game and season to date, we just don't bother doing it during the preseason since most don't bother picking those games. Just keep your eye out for a results thread each week.

We have the option to use spreads but have always gone with straight up wins instead.

OK thanks John... at first blush I used spreads to make my picks but not using them will alter some of those. :co_obvious:
 
Are you guys offering up a prize for the perfect week this year? I'll need 16 of them. :)
 
Couple things. For the handful of guys who didn't get their picks in, you can still PM me your picks for the rest of the games (taking a loss in tonights game obviously) and I'll enter them for you.

Several of you have asked me about the 'tie-breaker'. You enter your best guess for the combined score of the highlighted (*asterisked*) game for that week (it's 'closest' whether you end up under or over the final combined total). And again, you are purely selecting winners, not going against the spread. I upload the spreads so that the 'Favorites' and 'Underdogs' filter works if you want to use it, but we don't use spreads in the actual contest. If we want to run a separate contest using spreads sometime in the future, we can do that.
 
I'm pleased to announce that as of right now, I have a perfect record. Not a single loss.

No blemishes.

Perfect.

I should probably quit right now.
