Welcome to the BGO Mock Draft.

Wanted to do something a little different and give everyone a VOTE! I will include a handful prospects that I've found could be around when we pick and let YOU all have a voice. I will include a highlight package from each prospect (when available) and a link to TheDraftNetwork.com and their evaluation of each player.
The order of highlights posted do not reflect my personal order of preference, it's totally random. These are also not all of my top picks, they are the common names I've seen linked to us at our pick.

I will post all the results in a sticky thread at the top of the board.

Voting for each round will be open for 3 days and then it will be LOCKED so get your vote in.

When the poll ends for a round I will post the same format for the next round as the previous pick could influence who you take next.

Let's try to keep it honest and not write in Trevor Lawrence at 19 because he wont be there.

Ties will be broken via another poll that will get merged into the existing thread once the vote is complete. Tiebreaker vote will be open for 24 hours.

For the sake of this exercise let's avoid trades because there are WAY too many possibilities there.

I will also include an 'other' vote and you can write in your choice!

Players selected are a compilation using a few different places, a lot of info coming from nflmockdraftdatabase.com that compiles a ton of big boards and mock drafts to come up with their projections.

Round 3 – Pick 10 - 74th overall - and 19 – 83rd overall so PICK 2!!!!!!

D’Wayne Eskridge – WR – Western Michigan – 5’9” - 189lbs

Projects to be a slot receiver that can develop and play multiple WR positions. Can be a return man day 1.

D'wayne Eskridge - Bio

Nico Collins – WR – Michigan – 6’4” – 215lb

Big Body, very good at contested catches. Forgotten in the low speed Michigan offense

Nico Collins - Bio

Hunter Long – TE – Boston College – 6’5” – 254lb

Primarily a receiving TE but consistently lining up directly outside tackle and shows ability to develop blocking ability. Clear path to true In-line TE.

Hunter Long - Bio

Kenny Yeboah – TE – Ole Miss – 6’4” – 247lb

Primarily a pass catcher but capable as a blocker, good matchup, especially in the redzone.

Kenny Yeboah - Bio

Kellen Mond – QB – Texas A&M – 6’2.5” – 205lb

Developmental QB. Will not be week 1 starter but has interesting skillset. Comp % got better each year and ran for 1600 yards as a 4-year starter in SEC. Senior Bowl MVP

Kellen Mond - Bio

Paris Ford – S – Pittsburgh – 6’0” – 190lb

Very physical and instinctive, originally saw him as a 2nd round grade but more recently he’s going in the 3rd.

Paris Ford - Bio

Brady Christensen - OT - BYU - 6'5" - 300lb

Versatile, lines up at LT but projects to be better at RT and possibly G. Can play swing.

No. 67 - LT -

Brady Christensen - Bio

Cameron McGrone - LB - Michigan - 6'1" - 232lb

Translates as a 3 down MLB. Took a step back in 2020 causing draft stock to fall a little bit but has all the tools to start.

Cameron McGrone - Bio

I think a lot of this depends on what they do in free agency. If they sign a vet WR, then they probably don’t need a WR here. If they sign a vet TE, then they don’t need to take a TE here. I’m assuming they will sign a vet WR since they have plenty of young WR they are hoping to develop. At TE they have Thomas and nothing else.

So with that, I went with Yeboah and Ford, with the caveat that Ford and Curl will play different positions. I don’t know enough about the position each is strong in. So while depth is always important, I would hope that one would be SS and the other FS. Yeboah looked really good in those highlights. He looked taller than 6-4 when he plays. He looked bigger than his opponents unlike the other TE who I would have assumed was smaller if I didn’t see his height above. Yeboah looks very athletic and showed more separation than you see from TEs. Long showed little to no separation, but did have great hands making some tough catches. I’d still go with Yeboah though.

I didn’t watch enough Texas A&M football to know if Mond is a runner that throws or a thrower that runs. The highlight clip showed him taking off a few times where maybe he could have thrown. It’s hard to know for sure, but it seemed like he is more of a runner. The coaches would know that better than I would of course.

Getting depth at OL and LB would be great. But having used the first 2 picks on those positions, I’d rather go elsewhere unless someone they really really like is there.

Would love to have a versatile lineman with the BYU tackle Christenson

Got a write in with Trevon Grimes tho
Florida wr
6’ 4”, 218 & 11 games w/38 catches...589 yards...15.5 ypca and 9 tds
