When we drafting Lanky?

By that, I mean: Lanky, when are we drafting? Not asking when we should draft Lanky. Pretty sure that's a worse pick than Marcus Mason.

Count me in Lanky. I have not been on here much, but I will definitely take care of my team.

Are we going to do IDP? I love defense! In my money league, everyone resisted, but I demanded that we do it. Afterwards, everyone loved it!


Also, for those that have never played.....It seems like every year we have some guy in our league that has never played an ends up in the finals/super bowl. Guys that play year in and year out over think everything....new guys go with the flow.
 
Updated the first post - we have 12!

I think the best way to go is an automatic draft, simply because its hard to find a date that works for everyone. We can give it a go, but its kind of a pain in the ass.

Om, Boone - any info on integrating our league website with BGO.com? Or shall we just go with yahoo or ESPN?

If we can find one more person, we can do a 14-team league. They are a little more challenging, because you run out of quality players pretty early, but still fun.

I really like the idea of Individual Defensive Players. Question: when you do IDP, do you also have a team defense? Or do IDPs completely replace the DST?

We do team defense as well. Usually works like this: DST, LB, DB, DL

I have always wanted to try this, along with an auction draft (which would be nigh unto impossible to pull of here). I would definitely be in for defensive players.
 
I like IDP because you learn about so many players that you would not normally pay atterntion to. For example: I learned about Kirk Morrison (LB) a few years back. I had never heard of the guy, but he is a tackling machine.
 
Boone? Om? Anyone have an update on site-based FF software? If I don't hear back by end of the day tomorrow, I'm going to go ahead and set up a yahoo league.

Any updates? :) Don't mean to be annoying, but the beginning of the season will be here before we know it!
 
Hey Lanky - can you explain what you're referring to when you say 'site-based FF software'? Are you talking about a program you're aware of, or referencing something that *might be* available out there like we have with the NFL Pickem software?

Unless you know of a vbulletin compatible mod for fantasy football out there, I'd say its highly unlikely we could do anything except use an existing FF site, and have the draft and discussions here ...

Let me know, but I'm guessing that's all we could do at least this season.

I don't know of anything...I just thought Om might, as he said he'd explore some options. I'm fine with doing yahoo or espn or something else. :)

You can take my spot. I signed up for this one and all of a sudden I am in three leauges. I will still take care of my team, but if someone wants to take it off my hands, then that is fine.
 
not sure if i can fill the omniscient one's jock, but willing to give it a try! assume draft will be online or are we gonna fully geek it out at local bar with iphones and laptops? :laugh2:
 
Okay, I will switch beamish and Omni. For some reason I keep getting a database error when I try to edit the first post.

I'm going to go ahead and sign us up for yahoo, I will PM the league deets when I have them, so heads up!

Right now I have it set for an autopick draft, but here are my available dates for an online draft:
Tuesday, August 31st
Wednesday, September 1st
Tuesday, September 7th
Wednesday, September 8th (last day before the season starts)

Please reply back with the dates you are available, or if you'd prefer an autopick draft for whatever reason.
