Great list. As for #3 it is imperative, but with respect to this:

Mike Shanahan knows how to build a dominating running game. Invest in the horses to open holes.

You also have to call the running plays. Mike S. may know how to build a running game, but does Kyle S. know how to call one?

The Redskins ended the year at 31st in the league in rushing attempts per game.

Great point China. Watching Shanahan's presser after the game, he mentions that they'll spend the next several weeks evaluating the season, reviewing all game film, and that they'll assess not only players, but their schemes and playcalling.

I'd be very surprised if that particular stat escaped Shanahan's attention.
