The Pigs slice and dice the Commanders loss at the Ravens and give credit where it's due, but eschew 'any given Sunday' and expect a huge bounce back against Dave Tepper's disastrous Panthers squad.

Year 1 of a total makeover and we hang in there with a top 3 team, f yeah, no such thing as a moral victory but definitely shows we're trending the right direction. The defense is what it is at this point but no way we could correct everything in one off season and draft. Special teams play remains fantastic (missed fg's aside), that unit has done a 180 degree turn around. As far as Carolina goes, we should be up by 17 at half, however over confidence can be a detriment in the NFL, and I believe Quinn will keep that bs out of the locker room. Anyone think Jerry misses Quinn in Dallas lately??

The one caveat to the victory roll vs. Carolina is Hubbard. He is averaging 5.3 yards per carry and Washington hasn't been strong against the run.

Perhaps not facing a premiere quarterback with dual threat ability will help the defense zone in on the run and scheme to stop Hubbard as the primary option.

Carolina does not have a great offensive line and with a pocket passer Washington should be able to get pressure in the passing game. Dalton can throw touchdowns but he is also prone to tossing his share of interceptions as well.

On the other side of the ball, we need to get back to running the football and winning the time of possession battle as we did in previous victories. That keeps the defense in that 26-27 minute range of time on field. Expecting them to hold up when an opponent possesses the ball for 35-36 minutes is a recipe for being exposed.

Last week we didn't have Brian Robinson and were facing a defense in Baltimore that excels against the run across the board.

Perhaps we could have been more creative in the passing game and used Sinnott in a two tight end set to open things up or go to four wide receivers but we are still playing things fairly conservatively.

To win this game, I think you see Daniels throw for 225-230 yards and 2 touchdowns with no picks and another 50 yards on the ground.

Robinson coming back to rush for 80 plus yards will be the clincher though.

The OL should have an easier time of it this week facing a defensive front seven much less capable than the Ravens.
