As for the Ravens, if they can get to Henry before he gets up a head of steam...they got a chance. That's Derrick Henry not BGO's Henry.

I guess I’m built a little differently. I didn’t find the third and fourth quarter boring, I found it stress free and fun.

I wasn't stressed. But I wouldn't characterize watching Marcus Mariotta struggle to try and play QB in his 10th season as fun

Not bitching though. It was sooo nice to experience having a game in hand - for once - and not having to stress down the stretch!

Sure. Watching Mariotta wasn't a lot of fun, but watching the D continuing to dominate to the point that the Browns just threw in the towel, sat their QB and tried to run the game out the clock themselves sure was.

I will admit though. Watching Mariotta was a little comical... awful. I saw him trying to emulate Daniels and he was just awful.

Watching Mariota was concerning in that it makes you realise just how fragile this whole thing could be. We just couldn’t move the ball at all out there once we sat JD.

Now, maybe Kingsbury didn’t feel a need to adjust his playcalling for just 1 quarter, and maybe if this happened for and extended stretch of games he’d take Mariota’s limitations into account and game plan differently.

But it all shows how much the combo of run ability to freeze a défense and quick decision making and accuracy, elevates this offense.

We’re in trouble if JD goes out for an extended period, but then the same is true for any other team losing an elite playmaker at QB.

Weirdly, it’s a kind of nice place to be in 😂
Too many years past we’ve been fine(ish) with losing starters as the drop off hasn’t been that bad (sometimes an improvement!)

This year, we know there’s no real replacing JD.

It’s also more evidence that Daniels is special and it’s not all or mostly Kingsbury or a college game plan that any QB would excel at.

I hear you ... my take was that it was "boring" in a "it's over, but hell yea I'm getting another beer" kind of way. A place I haven't been in the 4th quarter of games very often over the past 30+ years. Hopeful of being bored that way again sometime soon.

Once JD5 went out it was clear we were just running out the clock on offense, and the Browns appears content to do the same--not really attacking in the way a team might that still thought it had even a miracle-finish kind of chance. Which as I noted last week is how the Cardinals ran out the clock two Sundays ago as well.

Things Washington fans haven't experienced much in recent memory ...

His best article IMO was when he went down to NC State to interview Jimmy V right around State's BB championship. If I remember it correctly, something about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and driving around with the top down and listening to loud music. Boom....boom!
