The guys talk about Washington's incredibly meaningful season opener, the likelihood of a convincing Commanders win, and what could go right (and wrong) on Sunday. Tis the season for believin'....

No one was able to bail me out but the one hit wonder QB I was referencing (from the Packers) was Matt Flynn. You always worry about some unheralded QB going Taylor Heinicke vs. Tampa Bay on you.

I don't see it happening on Sunday but you can never totally discount the possibility.

This atmosphere for this opener is going to be electric/lit (depending on your generational tilt). The only comparison to me would be the home opening game of Joe Gibb’s return in 2004 in front of 90k fans.

I was lucky to attend that party with my then 12 year old son. It was a very emotional day but this one will match that and ultimately be much more important to the franchise.

As far as the "F you Dan" chants, I agree, let it go however if I was there I might be the one who starts one

I think this game is closer than it should be at 24-14 Skins with it being 17-14 with 3 minutes remaining in the 4th as our offense grinds it out most the afternoon on runs and 5-7 yard pass plays especially if the Oline leaks early.

What I want is 28 - 3 at halftime and a 38-10 final score with us all being able to breathe for the entire 4th quarter.

Dude, are we sharing a brain? I was thinking the exact same thing today. This is the most excited I have been since that game in 2004. I too was at the game. My dad and my brother. We were all there going crazy when Portis took it to the house of the first offensive play. I still get chills thinking about that play. I've been to other games since then, have seen other great players. But it feels like that was the last time I was this excited for the start of a season. There is a hope that exists for more than just this one game or season that is getting me fired up.

When CP hit the 50 I had to lift my son up in the air so that he could clearly see. Place was going absolutely nuts!

That was the first game I ever attended at Fed Ex Field. I went alone and was in the last row of the upper deck.

When I first got season tickets, after 25 years on the waiting list, my seats were in the last row of section 454 right next to the small building were the film team worked. Great view of the parking lot though.

The coldest I have ever been was the playoff game vs Detroit.

Thursday Night Football.... I wanna say it was barely above freezing at kickoff, and it was single digits by the end of the game.

The Green Bay playoff game at Fed Ex was also cold as hell!!!

Del Rio’s defenses always frustrate me. They look good in the stats column and bad in the game.

Attended that playoff game (our last home victory in the playoffs since the 1991 season). We were not feeling the cold in the lower deck. Hung out afterwards in the green parking lot and continued to tailgate before leaving close to 2AM for our return to NJ
