Great podcast.
On my side of the stadium, there was a lot of blue and Chicago definitely got loud at times especially in the fourth quarter, but you were right. They were just fans. No arseholes.
On trading, I think a blockbuster is possible if someone holds a fire sale. If someone approaches Peters with a deal that's too good to refuse I think he might go for it. I think a trade where he swaps picks (we'll give you our fourth for your fifth and a player) is more likely. One caveat. Getting a player isn't necessarily plug and play. It takes players time to get up to speed and we've seen how crucial communication is at corner so getting that position addressed could be difficult. I think the highest probability is we stand pat or raid practice squads.
Giants have been a difficult team for us all the way back to the glory years. Even Gibbs had problems with them in the Lawrence Taylor/Bill Parcells game. One major test for the coaches is to get the players focused. I think one of the things that helps that is that Washington did have a difficult game in the red zone and in the second half against Chicago. I think the tape and the hunger to get better should help keep the players on track. It was an amazing play, but they did enough to almost lose a game they dominated. And in some ways, that's an echo of the Giants' game. Plus, I think that the Giants trash talk about how if they had a kicker they would have won the game blah, blah, blah could get their attention, too. Washington does have something to prove on Sunday.
