The Pigs breakdown the biggest clash so far in the Washington Commanders 2024 campaign as the good guys travel to Philly for an old fashioned NFC cage match on Thursday night!

A win in this game says a lot more about this team than a loss.

In fact, I don't think a loss tells us much of anything at this point.

Worried about this game

Absolutely Rex. And Jayden was too quick to get rid of the ball vs. the Steelers. He needs to be a little more patient in this one, and he's also going to have to use his legs when the opportunity is there. I think they tried to reign him in against Pittsburgh and that didn't work out so well.

Yeah, looked like he was rushing a few of those throws for sure, but still, the receivers really let him down with a crap game. Hoping they want to step up and redeem themselves this week!

It's funny. One of the big narratives against picking Jayden was that he had no sense of self-preservation and took too many big, unnecessary hits. I think you're right that he rushed his process a bit, but I also think he had to and it might not be the worst sign that he threw the ball away or that sacrificed the perfect throw to avoid getting destroyed... but it is such a fine balance, you know. QBs do need to stand in there and absorb the big hit AND they need to learn when to throw it away, dump off, escape, etc.

Well todays injury report does not look good for our tackles… 😢

Our D man ...

1. can we keep jalen in the pocket and not let him kill us on scramble drills
2. can we bottle up saquon?
3. limit damage by Brown
4. can our offense sustain drives or at a minimum take time off the clock and shorten up the game so #1 - #3 above does not have a good chance of happening.

Chances Dotson catches the game winner over BSJ? 130%!

Yeah - I could definitely get it. But I think Jayden is the story tonight. They've had him reigned him in pretty tightly for 2 straight games. He yelled 'I'm back' this week - I think he's going to be all the way back tonight and that might present some challenges to the Eagles defense.

I predicted we would lose by 10 points in the podcast this week. I was hoping Jayden would be recovered enough to be a positive difference maker. In my simple brain, Jayden has looked like what we should expect a rookie to look like the past 2 weeks against a couple of the best defenses in the league. I don’t think he is 100% and they are keeping him on more of a leash as a result but mostly I think it’s just the quality of who he’s up against.
